My local hospital in Manchester is now asking people not to just turn up at A&E but to book an appointment first so as not to overwhelm the hospital, must be pretty serious then. In fact its that serious they are doing this to the hospital next.

Still, grass can be nice too I suppose.

Just a hunch, but I wonder if this is why we have more Coronavirus cases than Japan and South Korea:

As Mike Yeadon points out in the podcast, as long as we keep up the high level of testing, using a system that is known to produce false positives, we will continue to have a large number of 'cases'. Pretty obvious really! Unless this level of testing reduces, we'll be stuck in this merry go round of bullst for evermore! It's truly depressing, and massively frustrating, it's genuinely starting to get me down now. frown

Yes that was the brilliant article by Dr Mike Yeadon, if you think that was good then please take the time to listen to his podcast which is a true eye-opener, he totally trashes the current lockdown and mask policy, and explains T cells and other useful stuff.

I've posted the podcast links on here before, but if you have missed them here they are again:

Has SAGE or the government been bending the ears of the BBC again? There are a lot of Covid stories today about how dangerous it is, including a street in Bradford where 2 (yes TWO) people died in a month, and scary stories about an 87 year old being in hospital.

Maybe I'm skeptical but it feels a bit like as people are starting to get fed up and care less some parts of the media are ramping up the fear again.
FYI - Group exercise classes re-opened at my gym today albeit with all the staff in masks. It’s a big gym and it was rammed. South London.

I think what they'd done is ridiculous but as with Brexit this guy is just anti Tory. In the middle of a pandemic when everyone is screaming they don't have ppe do you think they'll just pop in an order with one company to tide them over? Or do you think they get multiple companies to overstock them so as long as one order comes through it's safe? It doesn't seem unreasonable have have 6 companies buying a whole batch of plastic overalls it's not like they go off. To reiterate I think this is all Lunacy but this guy is chasing the small potatoes again

It is really starting to boil my piss reading things like this! It’s long since been known that lots of people are creaming off of the back of the scamdemic, but faced with such evidence, what can be done?! I would love to line the lot of the self serving useless sts up and give them all a good slap for causing some much mayhem.

no one gives a st, i posted before, it's pointless. i even compared to things like immigration or a benefits cheat, who would be vilified for much much less.

But let your mate set up a company award multi million contracts with little oversight, spunk nearly 1 billion of our money, and duck it, it was panic stations so all o.k.

The Tory party is a right wing capitalist party, they see nothing wrong with this. and lets be honest people expect it.

I think it's the tip of the iceberg, there are loads of deals that have been done in all industries with all this cv19 stuff.

That's rubbish, explain what a Labour government would have done differently please.

Perhaps this is the real reason they are dragging out all this Covid-19 lockdown nonsense so they can fill their boots with all the lovely money that is sloshing around, I do hope they get caught up in the anti money laundering regulations.

I think any other party would have done it differently, Boris is morally bankrupt. Why do ex bullingdon members end up in the Tory party? Clue it ain't for their charity work.

Explain differently? You think they're have ordered less PPE through less companies? Different companies? I think you'd be surprised to find out they'd probably do much the same to any noticeable degree.

Would be interesting to see how their wealth portfolio has faired considering cv19 has been the biggest increase for the worlds wealthiest for a very long time.

The poor have died the rich have got richer.....you would think it was made up but it isn't.

Hardly surprising, same happened during the 2008/9 recession. Perfect time to consolidate wealth. Can’t see that changing now.

In the hypothetical world you can make up anything to fit your argument, in the real world we work off actions, which we can make comments about.

What is your opinion of 120 million given to a company set up by an ex tory advisor, which turned out to be junk.

Or 250 million to another company that has no track record in this industry but ties to the political party.

it goes on...

Absolutely but not because of dodgy PPE deals...
