Why don't politicians abide by the maxim if you are in a hole stop digging ,the hole will only get bigger.
If Fox had taken heed of that earlier he wouldn't need to wear adult nappies now.

The Evening Standard have estimated that his travels cost in the region of £85k but his business only had revenues of £20k and they cannot ascertain who or what paid for his travel.

On a more serious note they are also saying that Lotus while making 350,000 cars a year are crap:

Fox seems to be the butt of all jokes on here. For all we know he may well be cleared and come out squeaky clean.

Is it possible a Gov.Cabinet Minister could be so niave to expect everyone to understand he has a relationship with his best mate similar to that of Eric and Ernie?.

Seeing as it's politics maybe Bert and Ernie is more appropriate?

Fox must be fit to burst over this.

Reckon he'll give Werrity a right mouthful next time they meet.

surely if it was of a sexual nature he would have resigned by now,he must know the press will not let go now.I am intrigued to know just what has been going on.

On another thread there was a 'CMD will be gone by the weekend' over NI.

Any punts on Fox's sell-by date?

He'll resign by the end of the week imo. He will say he was at worst 'naive' but did no wrong and feels 'it best to step down until the parliamentary inquest runs it's course'. The press have their claws firmly in place and are not letting go soon.

While reading one of the many articles about this, I was struck by a similarity.

I thought I would share.

If that was yours, it's very well done smile

Bit odd that Fox decided he needed an 18 year old flatmate when he was 34, even more odd that Mrs Fox has yet to be photo'd by their marital home offering him her full support.

my reckoning, either gutter press unearths some really juicy dirt on him before the weekend, he resigns before he's pushed, and comes out in a shiny pink shirt in time for the Xmas Dancing On Ice Celebrity Special then sinks to I'm a celeb get me outta here next year.

or, there's not enough on either of them for Cameron to do what he clearly doesn't have the balls to do (despite all this talk of clean government, politicians need to rebuild trust, etc, etc), and the pathetic enquiry offers a half-baked, watered-down set of events being unable to draw conclusions because civvy servants can't ask for documentary evidence from Werrity,
So they have to go on his word.

The first would be fun, the longer it drags on and "real news" gets a chance to get in the way, the more likely it gets brushed aside and Werrity is never seen again (except for maybe his own Dancing on Ice Xmas special performance).

either way, big shame Cameron has proven himself so spineless and hasn't just pulled the trigger on this one.

He needs a smoking gun to justify sending him to Coventry; Fox is a rival and 'It's probably better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside the tent pissing in.'.

Maybe he is enjoying seeing him squirm and will let him dangle just a bit longer by which time he will be well and truly fried.
