On those grounds the DVLA should be a smoking hole in the ground surrounded by exploded gas canisters by now.

He looked like he was losing his balance.

I found out why.

A few people being interviewed on Sky haven't been pulling any punches, and seem to be suggesting outright that it was some sham company that does nothing apart from take your money.

If that's the case, good on 'im!

Some old codger

And now he's nowhere to be seen.
It was a rainy Friday afternoon
He was dreaming of a Saturday hoon

Left him limping well into June.

Just as a side note to this, I Googled the company involved and Google's first suggestion was Advantage HGV complaints

Seems they are slightly scammy, shame someone felt they had to go to these lengths

Although if it is a scam it's also a shame the owners aren't tethered to posts in Tower Hamlets for a week.

Scum who steal from people with little money and trying to get a job really ought to be executed in the foulest of manners.

I dont know why there has been so much negetive feedback ref the way the Police / Security Forces dealt with this. Modern hypocracy!!!

'Shocking new face of Brit Police'. 'Hidden behind the mask, killers avoiding consequence'. 'Over-the-top and unregulated, the new face of our Police state'. Plenty of comments about Jean Charles de Menezes and his 'murder'. Few facts though!

How can people say these things in our present situation? Due to our history Britain is not a popular country and never will be. As a nation we're going to have to get used to the fact that we need soldiers and security forces to keep the public safe. These masked men are not regular police officers (some are not police at all) hence you dont see them during regular police incidents. Normally working under the cover of darkness, in secret and away from the public eye they do a job that 99.9% of us would not even know existed. Its not the police hiding from thier responsibilities when they wear a mask, they do it to protect themselves from the people they encounter when doing thier job - a job that keeps us as a nation safe from harm.

More power to these guys if you ask me. They did their job very well on friday and the result was swift and well executed. It put nobody in danger other than the 'potential suicide bomber', but that was his choice. Extremists only respond to extreme measures. Those who criticise the man behind the mask should think twice about calling for help when they need it, let him get on with his job of helping people who appreciate it.

Indeed. A useful event to show the response and armaments of the chaps currently operating in London prior to the Jubilee and the Olympics.

Televised for all the muppets to see.

I suspect one chaps downfall has been a good PR opportunity for GB.

Oh, and if they had not been there the very same bleaters would have been wailing that we are all going to die at the hands of terrorists because the security forces are being used properly.

The reality is that the modern journo is simply a deadwood stooge who writes up stories given to them by marketing agents or just looks at any event and finds a tenuous way to be utterly outraged.

It's a terrible shame that it happens to be the small number of true journalists who keep being shot or blown up and not the myriad fakes blighting society.
