Bercow resigning as Speaker
Discussion
Another good reason to have an election asap to get rid of this opinionated, biased little prick.
What a mess we're in, not completely due to this little man, but his fingerprints are all over this car crash called Brexit.
He has been pro-Labour since the very beginning of his tenure. An utter disgrace of a Speaker imho.

In years to come, students of early 21st century politics will look upon John Bercow as a staunch defender of democracy and the rights of parliament. We owe him a huge debt of gratitude.
If he does resign on 31st October, before an election, it will of course be Ken Clarke running the process to elect his successor.

Cue expensive and unnecessary redecorating at the Speakers House all at the public expense.
they will have to, they won’t be able to find anyone else who will live inside black, gold and leopard print decorated home without head hunting inside an over 50s swinger party. bhstewie said:
I can't say I'm a particular fan of his but some of the posts on this thread are.. fascinating insights into the people posting them.

Not peronally. As with Trump, there are times when the person and the position are separable, and other times.

quite. As leader of the opposition he has no equal. If he does resign on 31st October, before an election, it will of course be Ken Clarke running the process to elect his successor.

John #Bercow is a driven speaker and gifted orator but above all the keeper of the great British parliamentary tradition. I would love if we could welcome him in the European Commission or European Parliament
