Ideal time to call it quits on the royals and get rid of them.

I think the relevant royals know the score. The monarchy will be far leaner by the time they're done pruning.

I like the King’s angle on quality food.

Maybe his influence can help in ridding our country of the rubbish food we make/eat and the associated health issues society faces.

It’s exciting to think what Charles might do in the next 10 years.
Obviously times change and the Royal Family has changed a lot too, but maybe his influence can be more in line with the sustainable future we supposedly would all like to see.

It's all going to change.

Probably for the worst.

Be impressed if he manages to keep his politics out of it. Time will tell I guess

Absolutely, the only ones that aren't a complete waste of space are William and Kate.

Odd on him abdicating and giving it to William?

He must feel a lot of public pressure to do so. Technically he has now achieved his life's goal of becoming King... Does he follow protocol or the will of the people?

IMO, no chance. He's waited all his life for this so I can't see it happening anytime soon.

Maybe give it a year or so to let things settle down and announce a modernising of the monarchy.

Well, there isn't going to be an election, so we will never know what is 'the will of the people', just the will of certain parts of the media. I'd like to see him stay as long as he is able, provided he is up to it. And William's turn will probably come..

Yep - never gonna happen - he’s been brainwashed his whole life into this being his god given right, destiny, and duty.

I’m personally in the “get rid of the lot of them” camp but this isn’t going to happen either unfortunately…..

I was hoping that he may take another name, although sadly "King Onion" is taken!

Couldn’t believe how quickly the BBC announced “King Charles will remain at Balmoral” - I get it, but was surprised by it. But he is now our King - and I wish him well.
