This as a new poll conducted by Marquette University Law school is out, with now 37% of republicans not wanting him to run again and with De Santis more popular...

I think the poll states that trump & De Santis are similar in popularity (I assume that the difference is in the margin of error), but both tail Biden smile

I think if the Dems can find a centrist younger candidate who might appeal to Reps and Dems (a 50 year old Biden clone would be great!) then they can likely stuff the Reps in 2024.
DeSantis 81% against Biden, trump 77% and only 63% of republicans want to see trump run...
Those are bad figures for trump, expect another DeSantis slagging?

Just have a think about that for a moment.

Staggeringly crazy.

I think the 81% vs 77% is within the margin of error, so evens-stephens until campaigning starts.

I'm more worried that 63% of Republicans look at the st show of trumps presidency and think they would like to see more.

And yes your crystal ball is fully functional, I can see a torrent of anti-DeSantis messaging in the near future. smile

Remember Cawthorn was being challenged as being intelligible for office under the 24th amendment, because he helped trumps insurrection.

His lawyer quoted an 1872 act giving amnesty to confederate soldiers as part of his defence

Cawthorn lied about his time at the Naval Academy, but I'm pretty sure it was NOT the Confederate States Navy!!

Winsconsin GOP has lost their fight to lose ballot drop boxes for the state primaries
The Wisconsin Supreme Court has allowed absentee ballot drop boxes to remain in place for the 15 Feb. statewide spring primary election for local offices, with a decision coming later if the drop boxes can be used for elections after that.

Split on a 4-3 decision though..

New statement from trump claiming Pence did have the right to make him king, or something...
"He could have overturned the election" is yet another admission from trump

Someones getting worried that everythings getting found out, they must be getting close, certainly over those faked electoral votes

This is how trump knew it was a fraudulent election, because he did all the fraud

Here's GOP candidates in Michigan telling poll workers to unplug machines if they suspect fraud, and to be prepared and turn up locked and loaded...

It's completely in the open now, ignore the rules and win anyway

trump has left the US with no chance of telling any other country how to run fair elections.

Thick as mince.

don't forget the FBI agents conducting the false flag operations. biggrin
Still with over 700 magamob charged, most of the maga militia rounded up and in jail awaiting trial, of course he'll try witness intimidation, drop the offer of pardons. It's exactly what he's done before, several times during his time as Potus.

He's worried, too many people giving evidence as they desperately try to stop themselves getting jail time, but most of those conned have thrown their lives and livelihood away for trump already. The greatest con artist

The thing is, trump only cares about trump. Even now his continued rhetoric is making the it easier for the judges to justify stiffer punishment and pretrial detention for the maga mob.

Liz Cheney has said that the trump insurrection investigation has been getting tremendous cooperation from witnesses, especially one cooperating witness - hence trumps statement...

There's thoughts it's one of trumps White House spokespersons Judd Deere, who the Committee wanted to speak to as they have other witnesses who say he was deeply involved with trumps attempt to stay in power, the whole faked certificates, coup plot etc.

https://www.cnbc.com/2022/01/28/jan-6-riot-probe-s...

Born in 1987, he's only 35 and looking at jail time unless he tells all, probably a very good incentive

We know Mark Meadows aide Ben Williamson, gave around seven hours of cooperative testimony last week...

Fulton County DA Fani Willis has asked the FBI for help in providing security for buildings and staff just a day after trump said at his Texas rally that his supporters should hold “the biggest protests we have ever had” in cities like Atlanta if “racist prosecutors do anything wrong or illegal.”

Bad news for trump coming from his 'perfect' phone call to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger when he asked him to 'find him' more votes that Biden

I think he knows he's going to get indicted/charged over election fraud which is why he's admitting it publicly and acting like it’s totally legal and constitutional. He'll be holding out hope his Supreme Court nominations save him now, or he'll invoke his mob into more violence. Trouble is, are there more willing to risk losing everything for trump. It's one thing going to rallys, waving a flag... probably looking at the attendees

Edit: Let's not forget why trump called it a 'racist prosecution' attacking NY AG Letitia James. It's another open signal to his white supremacist base...

As some have said - it's 5th Jan all over again

Mid you, still plenty of gullible people available to be conned by trump

Moire from trump rally

The man with the misspelt t-shirt that claims he won't get vaccinated because he's a smoker so can't catch it, and the woman with an almost religious belief in the trump cult, that there was election fraud...

Remember, since we're talking trump pardons, many were promised yet only those who paid (or had dirt on trump) got them.

Roger Stone told Julian Assange he'd get him a pardon from trump
trump told Giuliani he'd get a preemptive pardon (which could be handy about now), about the time Giuliani was talking big about his 'insurance'. No doubt nothing or worthless as the Feds seized all his phones, docs etc.
Many of the magamob thought they'd get pardons
He tried tempting Cohen with a pardon if he kept quiet

Gaetz tried to buy a pardon and failed...

He didn't pardon his children - well just in case he needed more fall guys for his tax fraud...

He did pardon a war criminal, multiple people who were selling foreign access to trump and several people for working with Russia to get him elected.
So much money being 'lobbied' to get pardons from trump

In the midst of Trump's frighteningly dictatorial speech at Conroe last weekend he floats the concept of pardoning the Jan 6th mob. In the background a guy in a "Cops for Trump" T-shirt nods enthusiastically.

Shades of turkeys voting for Christmas...

It wasn't intended for them, it was intended for those providing evidence or thinking of (maga militia in jail, WH aides, trump staff) the same as before where trump obstructs investigations with witness intimidation by suggesting he'd offer pardons, but nothing promised or guarenteed of course.

Stuart Rhodes ,Oath Keepers founder ex wife talking about the families who turned in the magamob/maga militia members, saying there is a huge correlation between violence in the home and willingness to commit violence in the streets...

that trump was trying again to weaponise his base, that some of them welsome it, look forward to the violence
"To them, this is the civil war they've been waiting for. A lot of these guys live for this, they have been waiting for this, they spend their lives preparing for it, they look forward to it,"
