Oh dear, where has all the love for Mrs May gone?
Idiots are annoyed that having given her ultimate power to do whatever she wanted on Brexit, she is not doing the 'correct' Brexit which was never defined in the first place and no one can agree on p1stonhead said:

Perhaps you missed the fact that the Tory 2017 manifesto had clear commitments on Brexit, and further commitments were made in May's various speeches prior to that election as well. The Tories will be judged against the promises they have made at the next election.

May opens the door to extending the Brexit transition period - that’s going to go down well in her party and among grass root Tory members. Seems she’s just continually kicking the can down the road.
I'm of the opinion that if Theresa May tried to kick a can, she'd get her stupid shoe stuck in it and attend the next EU summit with it still en situ, just to give them something new to laugh at her for.Edited by BlackLabel on Thursday 18th October 08:12
I think she's a stooge put in place to keep us in the EU, and if I'm right, she's doing a great job.

Didn't they also state something about strong and stable? The Tories will be judged against the promises they have made at the next election.

It disappeared on the Wk/end 6-8th July, when it became clear that May as a Remainer was working against everything she had previously stated she was working on.The evidence of what May had led the electorate to believe she was working on was stated in May's Lancaster House speech and as stated in her own manifesto.
It's quite clear she has deceived those who had previously supported her plans.
May is quite clearly incompetent, and based on media reporting this morning, her support is rapidly dwindling even amongst MP's who were previously supportive.
If May can't do as promised she needs to stand down or get ousted, it's for the good of the country and her own party, the way she is currently leading the Tories will undoubtedly lead them into oblivion, and give Corbyn the keys to No 10.
It seems some see the latter as a good thing, if only as it will inevitably lead to BINO, and worse, a Labour Government, were that to happen the country will get what the country deserves.

She hasn't got ultimate power (thanks to Gina Miller).Murph7355 said:
What genius plan is there to resolve the politicking that another 12mths will cure?
Precisely. If they can't conclude it after 18 months or more, why would it be successful with more time? After the result of the referendum, they should have all committed to a period of time (a week, 2 weeks, or whatever) locked in a conference centre, with their advisors, and thrashed this out, and stayed there until it was done. None of this "meet for 20 minutes then reconvene in a month" malarkey. It's fortunate for them that they're not in business.p1stonhead said:

The issue is that she's done nothing (constructive) on Brexit, not that she's done what she wanted. I doubt she even knows what she wants, let alone has the gumption to drive it through.CAPP0 said:

The problem is no one knows what they want. There is not even agreement on our side. How is she supposed to satisfy everyone in that case?
More accurately there has not been agreement on our side on a proposal that would satisfy the EU.The widely reviled Chequers proposal was only proposed as May thought it satisfied the EUs demands over the irish border.

I seems to me she has and is continuing to negotiate with herself!
The problem appears to be that she is negotiating with the EU.Brexit involves negotiations with ourselves and agreeing that we want all sorts of stuff even if it isn't achievable.
We just need more time to convince ourselves that the worst possible deal is what leave voters wanted in the first place.

Negotiation means both sides prepared to compromise which the Eu cant be seen to do for us,if they offer us an easy escape route the Italians will want out before their country totally implodes..then the fun really starts..makes Brexit look like a walk in the park compared to Italexit.Brexit involves negotiations with ourselves and agreeing that we want all sorts of stuff even if it isn't achievable.
