Premier League have apparently passed this to their copyright lawyers...
What? That design. eek

(that's how you've worded it - I realise you didn't mean that 'design'). wink

Aside, very clever marketing ploy imo. This will get them in every newspaper this weekend instead of the headline they all wanted about a far right looney woman taking charge.

That long?

Ukip is a spent force. This thread should have died an age back. Ukip had one objective. Thanks to wishy washy CallMeDave it was secured. End of. It's history. Said so an age ago.

This leadership thing has turned out quite funny in a way.
The frothing remoanians and lefty papers/press were praying and hoping the right-wing looney woman would win so they could all jump up and down with insults - and I agree, probably rightly so too, although I've no idea really who she is except what's is in the press. My first impression of her was she'd be far better represented stood on the platform next to Corbie hehe

But no, someone of no age (in terms of politic people) has won the Kipper leadership (which should please ageist trolls like jjlynn27), and to cap he's a former cop and military man at that. Also has a Uni and law degree (of sorts) - again completely at odds with the 'education', 'read stuff', troll shouters on PH.

Would I vote Kipper again. Oh hell no! Objective secured as said.
Nothing will bring them back to the fore, apart perhaps a remoan halt to Brexit (can't see that happening) or real softening down (small possibility).

However, I do find all this amusing for what should be a dead in the water thread. Bloody amusing.

As for the new logo. A blinder for publicity whoever dreamed it up.

As above, even Twiggy is stunned into saying of the new leader: 'seems a decent sort'. hehe

He spoke rather well on Today this morning, and made a point of answering each question and giving his reasoning.

UKIP are hardly likely to form a government or even get more than an MP or two, but I think his views were an interesting contribution to the political conversation.

I think a 'softening down' of Brexit relative to what the loons want is absolutely inevitable. There will be huge cries of 'That's not the moon on a stick!!! British bulldog!!!'

the new one is a huge improvement on Nuttall. If Brexit starts to look iffy then don't be surprised if UKIP do well in any local elections.

Heard something interesting this morning on Sky while they were spouting about the new leader.

They had some Politics professor/academic on, who said at the last GE when May won (with her reduced majority) that 1 in 3 of all Ukip voters (who 'had' voted in the previous GE (when Ukip got near 4 million votes - ie almost half of what Labour got!) didn't bother to vote.

That's a lot of 'floating' votes.

Nope. May isn't even a conservative (small or big 'c'). She's a New Labour flim-flammer at best; at worst, she's a moderately competent technocrat promoted vastly above her abilities.

I agree. Now.
But by the time of the next GE she highly likely won't even be in the running.
However, say she is, a week is a long time in politics I remember HW saying (or something like that).

Whoever gets those votes will highly likely be standing outside No. 10.

Why don't they just do the country a favour and disband?

I've fallen out of a taxi at 3am on a Sunday morning after enough ale to kill a horse and managed more decency and dignity than this lot, they're ste

If you're sick of keeping out Labour, you're in for a treat. They're going to win the next GE and intentionally crash the economy before confiscating the assets of the 'rich'.

Oh dear. More UKIP fun and games.

“Ukip has descended into virtual civil war after its embattled leader, Henry Bolton, accused members of plotting “an organised coup” against him, after he was seen having dinner with his former girlfriend, who has been suspended from the party for racism.

Amid predictions Bolton could face a vote of no confidence by Ukip’s national executive this weekend, he insisted he would hold on to the post despite the controversy over his ties to Jo Marney, a 25-year-old activist and model, whom he said in an interview on Wednesday that he still loved and could get back together with.”
