Then why would Mann say "We will likely challenge the dismissal of the suit"? From what I have read of the case (avoiding Twitter in the main) what led to the dismissal was Mann's inability to provide the documents required during the discovery phase - even after many requested delays?
Not having seen the full court documents (and I don't think anyone except the parties involved has yet) no-one knows on what exact grounds the dismissal due to delay occurred; was it, as implied by Mann's twitter repost Ball's affidavit about ill heath? Or Ball's claimed lack of damage to Mann's reputation, or the documents not being produced?

Has Ball made any public statement yet? I haven't found one.

Lots of conservative media proclaiming victory for Ball and awarding of costs, I don't think anyone has seen the ruling to make that call. Mann has certainly stated publicly that costs weren't awarded.

Ignore where the news is coming from (especially Mann's twitter feed - about as reliable as a certain potus). All we have at the moment is Mann's case has been dismissed. That is technically a win for the defendant.

That is true, so the wild celebration within conservative media is at odds with what anyone outside the direct parties knows.

The actual judgement could be anywhere between 100% due to Mann's lack of cooperation to 100% due to Ball's lack of credibility.

Ball's lack of public celebration is confounding too.

A couple of headlines from the CFACT political source 'Climate Depot'.

UN ‘sustainability’ conference in Salt Lake pushing ‘social justice’
UN flies in 5,000 people to Salt Lake to complain about fossil fuels

Politics driving a climate of fear? Shirley Knott.

Some reading and a quote summary:

Addressing extreme weather climageddon drivel:
https://www.scienceunderattack.com/blog/2019/8/26/...

Environmentalist Mike Shellenberger: "The photos you saw weren’t of today’s fires in Brazil - Amazon isn’t the “lungs of the world” "No ecocide" - Deforestation is 75% below 2004 peak - *Forest fires not increasing".

No ecocide just the usual climate fairytales.

Quite. Has the Court's full written judgement been published? More to come here?

Well it'd no doubt help your cause if big oil didn't support the IPCC on AGW.
What turning of the tide do you mean? Have a few more bloggers appeared on WUWT?
I know you don't like questions as you never answer, but let's try. Why do you suppose 'big oil' supports the IPCC on AGW?

Your words, take your time and add something worth while to the thread rather than your repetetive, vacuous sniping with absolutely zero content...
Check out their respective climate change commitment web pages.
If you need help finding them, let me know.
I asked you why. I don't think you know, but I actually explained it to you once before. So, it's all one-way traffic with you. Can you explain, or will you body-swerve this too??

You provide the same value to this and other threads as the Flower person, that is zero. Absolutely and utterly zero.

I've wondered why other posters actually attempt interaction wth you for a while now.
Well it's all a giant global socio-political scientific conspiracy isn't it?
Radical Left winger's grouped together with Exxon Mobil, 192 signatory countries of the Kyoto Protocol & NASA to falsify the greatest cover-up in history.

It's a good job we have you and the 6 other blokes here to help uncover the conspiracy on a car owner's forum, else we'd all be in deep trouble.

Oh, and apologies I didn't answer you straight away. I have something away from this forum I prefer to do. It's called having a life.
You should try it some time. smile
You have no issue with the amount of political stuff going on behind closed doors?
Do you think Al Gore is a genuine guy who cares and wants the best for humanity?

Do you look up at the sky and sometimes think it's going to fall on you?

Didn't even try, huh? Not so easy to 'google' and back to just random sniping from the sidelines having no content to add... Typical of you who adds nothing here except spaces filled with random retorts that you fail to uderstand.

Again, big oil supports global warming efforts in order to get a carbon floor price established that kills cheaper coal in order that their vast gas reserves sell more profitably...

More from Climate Depot for anyone interested.

Physicist: heat waves are not unprecedented or caused by ‘climate change’ 1930s USA heat waves were hotter

Looking forward to more tax gas holiday photos.

The primary source as above is somebody with a physics background and qualification, just like Hansen. Not a schoolgirl. Relax everyone.

Since life expectancy in the USA and UK has now started to fall, perhaps that comment was a touch premature?

Look out! We're double-doomed!! With warming on hold (ask a Russian) and New York not under water by 2015, Ocasio-Cortez has issued another deeply rational 2019 claim that climate change threatens to unleash glacier diseases ‘frozen for thousands of years’.

https://www.cnsnews.com/blog/craig-bannister/ocasi...

Now it's really time to panic. This stuff is so credible who could possibly remain calm. It's a worse problem for New Yorkers as vaccination will require their wetsuits to be punctured.

I heard a suggestion on the BBC World service in the early hours of today that the crew are flying home, with a fresh crew flying out to sail the boat back.

How she's getting home in a couple of weeks time is undecided as yet

It's OK they're greenies. Any carbon dioxide molecules emitted by the actions of greenies carry a moralistic planet-friendly sticker made from recycled nucleons to warn off any incoming infrared radiation. The uncertainty principle won't scramble this key message as a Heisenberg Compensator has been thoughtfully borrowed from the Starship Enterprise.

Well that's put my mind at rest. Without information like this I could have easily mistaken it for a hypocritical act of childish attention seeking, encouraged by her parents.

I actually feel sorry for the kid. I have an ominous feeling that her story in years to come may not be a happy one
