For starters, I think they should adopt a new name - Labour is so old century.. Within their new name, their ethos.
Yeah, grand idea. I can think of many a name to help rebrand them!

Change direction based on what the voters want.... Hmmmmm that's democracy!
Democracy is different to bending yourself to be the most popular.
yes

Bending to be the most popular - then reverting to type once the scam has worked.

Opportunistic shysterism definitely isn't needed and will be rejected.
Sounds like the Tories pre and post election.

Really? I was pretty sure that they were going to behave like a quasi-Thatcherite Tory party before and after the election. If anything they have been less aggressive that I thought they might be.

National Socialists is probably the shortest option. Nothing wrong with that at all...

Some of us are still waiting for a Conservative Party. What was in the manifesto is being delivered so any patronising parroting jibes based on the two-faced Labour Party aka New Labour fail badly.

Just think - we've got around 9.75 years (possibly more) of heartfelt sore loser one-liners, oh joy hehe

Never mind, Labour supporters, it's only election results tongue out

Must admit, never thought of that one. Eh? Now heres a thing, they could have conference's in Nuremburg, none of that Brighton nonsense, what? Plenty of space and all, venue ready.

Back to the original question, I have two favoured scenarios ...
1) Corbyn wins, Labour falls apart, new party of Blairites/Clarkites/Fallonites forms in the centre ground, positioned to win in 2025
2) Corbyn (or in fact any of the other three for that matter) wins, Labour falls apart with the left-wing rump muttering in a corner until the other Milliband rides back into town with his two deputy sherriffs (Hunt and Umunna - explains why they stepped aside so readily) at his side, ready to rescue the beloved brotherhood. Possible by 2020 ?

You would want 24 months to set out and sell a clear vision to the country, so working back the displacement would have to be in late 2017?

Haven't you got to let Corbyn and the Left crash and burn at the 2020 election first and THEN ride in on a white horse and "save" the party?

Not necessarily if Corbyn makes a hash of the Labour Party conference in 2016, ready for the white knight to ride in for the 2017 conference ?

That might be really wishful thinking!

Was it bright spark Miliband or bright spark Brown who came up with the idea of £3 to register and vote for the leader, failing to imagine the consequences of enemies registering to vote?

And people like this think they can run a government?

Assuming that Corbyn will get most of the votes from those who are having a giggle at Labours expense then who should get the second preference vote?

Yeah, a party not only espousing but enacting lower taxes, reduced benefits, restrictions on trade unions, effective economic management that has increased growth and employment but controlled inflation. How dare they call themselves conservative

They shouldn't adapt other polices to meet a changing world, they should stick to the exact policies of all past Tories:

We hope that during the life of the next Parliament the country's financial position will improve sufficiently to enable us to proceed at an early date with the application in the Government Service of the principle of equal pay for men and women for services of equal value. (Churchill's manifesto 1950)

Our [Transport] programme also includes the elimination of hundreds of accident "black spots". This will be combined with intensive propaganda, the new highway code and fresh legislation in a drive for greater safety. (Eden, 1955)

Measures will be taken to encourage Youth Leadership and the provision of attractive youth clubs (MacMillan 1959)

In the next Parliament we shall take no further steps to remove rent control. Additional safeguards for tenants will be provided if shown to be necessary by the inquiry into rented housing in London. (Douglas-Home 1964)

With the preference system, do you HAVE to provide a preference, or is a "1" against a candidate still a valid vote, without naming 2,3,4 - or does it void it?
