Where did i say any of this. My view comes from a Brit who spent a lot of time there not understanding this continued obsession with beating Germans today with the Sin's of their Grandparents. T
So how long did you spend in Germany to form this view, I speak with Germans everyday and none of the have an issue with "the sins of their grandparents." it is never even discussed, we don't all dwell in the past.Nationalism is a very touchy subject. I've spoken out many times here against PEGIDA, etc., but it is also true that that such groups are viewed more critically than average based on nothing more than Germany's sordid past with populism and nationalism.

No the majority of Germans view them critically because they are like the EDL over in the UK or NSW in the US...
Only partially true. The very word "populism" conjures up Hitler in the minds of many here. There is an irrational degree of guilt present among individuals who had nothing to do with those politics or that time period.

I don't fully understand the mentality of an Englishman or American surely knowing what their forefathers sacrificed to defeat the Nazis but still thinking becoming a Nazi is a sensible way to go.
At least when the Germans do it they can say they are carrying on where their Grandfather may have left off.

But PEGIDA are a racist organization. Google images will tell you that.
Actually, an image tells you very little. Precisely why they are heavily used in propaganda. One would think such a guilt-ridden German would have learned a lot about that. There are certainly racist elements in the PEGIDA movement, but the movement as a whole is comprised of a variety of groups, and to tar them all as racists just contributes to the problem you purportedly want to solve.

Don't you see tom, i'm not against you in the war on fascsim, it's just we see different groups as being more serious a threat.
I personally see the hatred and dislike of Jews coming from sections of the community across europe that are unfortunately middle eastern, that part of the world daily still broadcasts the most vile stuff about the jews, also i have a bit of a soft spot for israel so the attention it gets from it's neighbours worries me a lot too.
What you have done to my arguments is exactly what you've done to groups like Pegida and the EDL. I took quite an interest in the edl after the lovely "Muslamic raygans" video that made me and friends chuckle for quite a while. Countdown is a little correct, unfortunately these groups do gather the support of wrong-uns, but like the former leader of the EDL, it's a very very mixed bag. People have gone up against the "islamaphobic" "racist" "Xenophobe" label long enough now that they've been driven to groups like this who are behind them expressing their views rather than burying them in labels.
I'll even say it, under Tommy Robinson the group was very much maligned and focused on serious issues that no one was willing to face up to.

Tommy now runs UK PEGIDA I think. Tommy actually speaks some sense I quite like the guy at least he is doing more than ranting on forums and dancing around with words. Problem he will have is who he attracts, same with Farage.
Both Tommy and Farage have the courage of their convictions and have some interesting things to say...but the people they attract are not great.
I honestly don't think being called a Xenophobe is a big deal is it? Is it? I am a bit of a Xenophobe, Islamaphobic isn't that bad of a thing to be called either IMO. Just means you are a bit scared or whatever about Islam, so what?
Racist cuts people, they hate being called that but again it can just mean you are bit more pro 'your' sort than others, it doesn't mean you are going to be lynching people and burning crosses.
Actions speak louder than labels.
To get to point across to the rightwing you have to play their game, so you say all Ukippers are bigots and pond life, then you get a reaction "oh you are just like the people you claim you are agaisnt generalising like that!"..well yes that's the point i am making...its not nice lumping people into a big group is it.
But you still won't get it. You will still think I am 'leftie' because you see life like a game where its always something V's something else.
So I to you must be or HAVE to be 'leftie' because then you can deal with it easier. But i am not 'leftie'. I am a person in the center laughing at all the rabid rightwingers and lefite Corbynistas getting themselves into a lather.
Forums are awful for this, so if you say you like your Xbox someone will be along to tell you your a noob and PS4 "rules dude! xbox sucks man!", they fail to understand you just own an xbox and it's not some agenda to push XBOX...
Add anything into that rinse and repeat.. "Nico did well to win the WDC.." .."you thick! Lewis owned him and Merc broke his car on purpose!!"
I am not in a game of V's, but you are.
I agree some on the left are tits, but so are some on the right, sadly you are one of them so I cant really engage in anything this silly arguing back and forth. You can see the centrists on PH and I really like them. You know the ones as you are arguing with most of them and incorrectly calling them 'lefties', there are very few real 'lefties' on PH... why would they be here?
People who don't want to kill and wipe out entire races and religions based on the actions of the few aren't 'lefties' they are normal balanced people..

There are plenty of old posts of me having a go at the PEGIDA types on this board. And in all fairness, I probably was a bit harsh on some of them.
