According to Die Welt, Mr Schulz has become 'persona-non grata' at the highest levels of Mrs Merkel's party due to his reaction to the Brexit vote.

His term is due to finish towards the end of the year. He was almost guaranteed a second term.
Earlier, I was trying to identify a piece of music. I know that it is played at last night of the Proms, so I naturally looked up Last Night of The Proms on YouTube. While I was watching it, I felt that Remaniacs would find it difficult to watch such clearly Nationalistic jingoism.
Personally, I love it. I love music, and I really love the anarchic attitude from the audience. People interrupting the performance with car horns, whistles and kalamazoos(SP)(actually - is that the right word at all?).
Anyway, what is clear is that the orchestra love the anarchy. They are playing in front of an audience that are having a bloody fantastic time. The audience take the piss, and in return the conductor takes the piss back. You can see from the faces of the orchestra that they are having a great time.
Everybody is enjoying themselves.
While I was watching it, I formed the impression that Remainers would find it difficult to watch. There are a lot of Union Jacks being waved about. I get the impression that some of you will find these difficult to look at. I also noticed that there were flags from all over the rest of the world present. None of these foreign flag wavers felt unwelcome.
I initially thought that all these foreign flags would allay your fears. There were flags from France, Italy, Germany, South Africa, and, I am proud to say, Ireland.
However, I get the feeling that none of you will feel proud of this fantastic British tradition.
So, tell me that I am wrong.

Not true.
I happened to think the best thing for my country was to vote to remain, doesn't mean I would feel uncomfortable watching the proms-what a ridiculous thing to say!

I voted remain and I won't watch the proms because I don't like that kind of music.
How has anything you just wrote got anything to do with the EU issue?
This seems to have not made it high up on the mainstream media agenda.

I had seen many comments about Goldman Sachs and the EU. TBH, I had thought that it was all a bit tin foil hattery.

Over 4 million signed it too.
Still pondering why the other nearly 12 million remainiacs didn't sign it.
Perhaps they took the honest advice to 'Get over it!' and did?

Its a bit like asking why the LibDem membership didn't surge to the tune of millions when they came out as said they wanted to take the UK back into the EU. Perhaps its not that big a deal to many to even bother voting for that lame excuse of a party, let alone starting a new one and spending 25 years campaigning for the UK in Europe Party. Over 4 million signed it too.

Any remainers want to put their hand up and say they are voting LibDem to get back into the EU asap ? Anyone ....

Labour managed to get 100K new members just for a change or to keep their leader. The pro EU fans are now placing their trust in the Tory party to somehow save them then ? You are very relaxed about it. One min its the end of the world, but the next it doesn't even require voting for the only party to come out as very pro EU and to say they want back in. Seems people can't be that arsed beyond Facebook and online campaigns.
