You might remember that I tried to start such a thread towards the end of last year - the introduction proposed that there should no no insults, just posts explaining one’s own opinion etc, hoping that it would somehow be ‘self-policing’.
Laughably, the mods took it down within minutes because “we don’t want that sort of thread” (or words to that effect)!
This I do not understand - it makes no sense?Laughably, the mods took it down within minutes because “we don’t want that sort of thread” (or words to that effect)!
Well in the context of other threads I've started

Yeah partly because of a dysfunctional search facility Still best not mention that too much or the thread will end up in website feedbackFunkycoldribena said:

At least some of the PH leavers are making the effort to try and moderate their own threads.
It's a funny old world for some and wc98 has summed it up perfectly by saying "I have no idea"
Anyway, back to topic.......

He's right though. All those groups have been attacked and vilified by Brexiteers and their High Priests in the media. Always good to be reminded who it is that's on your side.
not by all brexiteers. i am quite happy to accept not everyone is happy about the situation and there is due process to go through that will require decision making by some of the above that won't please some leave voters. i don't even have trouble with a second referendum even though i think extending the period of uncertainty/limbo that it would bring on would be daft, especially as i doubt very much the result would change.i am pretty sure if i was of the mind i could come up with just as long a list of prominent brexiteers that have been the brunt of far more vitriol from the remain camp but what exactly would it add to the debate.
