USA climate poiltics resembles UK. From Prof Pielke's website so active links (i.e. here and here etc) are there.

Prof Pielke said:
Last week, the U.S. National Climate Assessment came out. In its public review comments the authors claimed falsely that our research does not exist — saying that we had not published on hurricanes since 2005. Here are our relevant 2018-2020 publications here and here and here and here, and there are about a dozen other papers directly relevant but ignored. The climate community is now entering its third decade of misrepresentations of the science of disasters and climate change.
Ignoring inconvenient truths is clearly essential for The Team and The Cause on both sides of the ocean, while Pielke's 'climate community' term must relate to what climatologist Dr Judith Curry refers to stateside as 'federal scientists', plus one-sided media and individual activist extremists.

Another Polly Parrot nee ner response, shocked I'm not. There are no substantive points without causality CO2 => T as tax gas policies are climatologically irrelevant, and data shows T => CO2

What's relevant, is that which is politically relevant, and tax gas is in there - hence LongQ's thread.
You're referring to CO2 lagging temperature in the ice cores (per Monin et al and Petit et al) but both of those papers discuss the amplification of warming from increasing CO2 which follows from physical understanding of the radiative properties of CO2 in the atmosphere (T => CO2 => T).

Your cause and effect argument is naive - like saying a blown coolant hose can't be the cause of engine overheating because engine warming began before the hose burst.

=> not a serious argument.

UN criticises 'severe' Just Stop Oil sentences

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn0p6ll3jjgo

Long jail sentences handed to two Just Stop Oil climate campaigners could stifle protest, the United Nations has warned the UK government.
The protestors caused traffic gridlock after scaling the Dartford Crossing Bridge for almost 40 hours in October last year.
Morgan Trowland, 40, was jailed for three years and Marcus Decker, 34, for two years for causing a public nuisance.................continues

Has anyone worked out the cost of the 40hrs those idiots caused by jamming up the Darftofrd crossing and M25? I live locally to these, and I know of a few who suffered losses and other inconveniences.

The UN promoting its self-interest, that'll be self-interested self-interest. Doing so while boiling in their own juices is real dedication to the cause of freeloader M&A (that's meddling and annoying).

Sir Patrick Moore said:
The Halley's Comet Society is the second most useless organisation in the world, after the United Nations.
Anti-capitalist stooges can still stand strategically positioned outside e.g. Starbucks on the pavement in single file waving a plastic placard with one hand and typing a strongly worded email to their MP using a plastic mobile - via free WiFi - with their nose. Practice may be needed to obtain the required degree of nasal competency in this regard. Finally, oh dear never mind.

Question: How much CO2 is emitted by half a million people at least doubling their annual commuting mileage?

HMG: Climate, climate, Net Zero etc etc

Also HMG: New orders! All Civil Servants must spend an arbitrary minimum of 60% of their working time in the office (more for some groups), regardless of benefit or disbenefit, in a return to the presenteeism of the past.

Fun times.

Climate change: Rise in Google searches around ‘anxiety’

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-674...

"Online search queries related to "climate anxiety" have risen, according to data gathered by Google and shared exclusively with BBC 100 Women.

Studies also suggests that women are more affected by climate anxiety than men.

The rise of wildfires, floods and droughts around the world are just some of the highly visible signs of climate change.".....................continues

Therein the last sentence is the problem. Completely false information, and who is the main institute responsible for this? Step forward Beeb. Talk about irony.

They posted a helpful picture as well:-

Given you have spent several years trawling the BBC website looking for stories about climate change to post on a car forum for no apparent reason, are you really in a position to be calling other people "climate change bonkers"?

I don't "trawl" the Beebs, it's their regular climate propaganda. Try turning on your TV for their news programs, and watch for yourself. Another pathetic "shoot the messenger" attempt from you (again).

It's not only temperature data which is adjusted, it can happen with budgets also. Redirecting lots & lots of taxpayers' money to climatewang? What could go wrong?!

Appropriation of 60 billion euros ruled unconstitutional by German High Court

Choose your preferred online translator and see how this G-man federal climate funding is unconstitutional. Somebody will be in hot water over this. Not cool.

But but but they're with the angels, nothing to see here.

Probably climate change but this annoyed me.

Headline said:
New weather map shows giant 546-mile wall of snow and rain covering UK from top to bottom.
Whereas...

Met Office Forecast quoted in the body of the article said:
... periods of wet or showery weather focussed in the northwest of the UK, and largely dry weather elsewhere.

Temperatures overall are most likely to be just a little colder than average, with only a very small chance of something much colder and wintry developing from mid to late next week.
WTF! How is one even remotely linked to the other. Yes, I know it is obviously click-bait but c'mon...

Interesting!

This bit is entertaining too, not so much in a good way: "...these are likely to continue and possibly worsen as the monsoon intensifies over the next century" it's the way they tell 'em, just awesome assertion, as though it was fact already and the next 100 years were laid out before us like a string of euromillions winning numbers.

CMIP climate models failed to simulate the decreasing post-1950 monsoon trend, see Saha et al (2014). The next 100 years, ho ho ho, but it's important to believe and panic as wonderful climate models drive UK political policy...lucky us.

Avoiding suspect models applies to politicians too, in theory.

You berate somebody for trawling the BBC "looking for stories" when it's in your face all day long, no need to look laugh "to post on a car forum" (by the way you and your couple of mates used to call it a "backwater thread on a car forum")

You are the King of trawling (well you inherited that title due to circumstance) you've trawled the best part of 20 years worth of posts in here, filled a filling cabinets worth of quotes from one or two posters to trot out willy nilly with the sole aim to discredit people....on a "car forum" of all places rofl
