But did the BBC show the whole clip in the six o'clock news? No of course not, they just showed Corbyn walking away. Needless to say but they showed all of Boris' heckle at Fishlake.

It's an absolute lie to say that replacing trains that are well past their expected life with new trains that don't offer any improvement in performance to be an "improvement".

That’s just total bollacks

Replacing this

With this ... AC, WiFi, USB, charging points, disabled access/toilets, bike racks

Isn’t progress ?

<Blah, London, blah> ... And yet HS2 and CrossRail plough on despite delays, despite cost escalation, to ensure that London continues to benefit.
That'll be the HS2 that connects with Wigan, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield and Birmingham... scratchchin

Compare the number of seats of old carriage with number of seats in new.

Calculate number of passangers left on platform when new train departs versus old train.

Progress?

Corbyn would class those carriages as 'ram-packed' (sic).

Yep ...

Because new 6 coach units are replacing two coach pacer units

They have also doubled the number of trains on my local line into Manchester

Good spin, but absolute bollucks again.

The new trains on Northern (Class 195) aren't directly replacing the sprinters, but the Class 150 routes. In turn, the Class 150 (sprinter) will be moved on to displace the Pacer.

But that's great, cause the 150 is the same age as the pacer anyway (mid 1980s)! New paint and a WiFi dongle and good for another 20 years!

Meanwhile, oldest London Overground train? 2008.

I'm on the Great Northern line from Cambridge to London. The trains were upgraded. Mainly better (especially as they now have air-con). The seats are harder though - they appear to have made them out of ironing boards.

Closed foam. It’s hard but it stops fluids from being absorbed
