I still think his math is poor, ultimately ignoring the percentage increase!
Trade with Europe increased in monetary sense massively less than with the UK
https://twitter.com/StewartHosieSNP/status/8242832...
So EU trade has gone from £11.4 to £12.6
While rUK trade has gone from £28.6 to £49.8

That's a big difference.

EU trade up £1.2 billion in 14 years
rUK trade up £21.2 billion in 14 years.

rUK trade is 4x larger now it was only 3x larger 14 years ago.

Interesting how you can read those state to be anything but feable growth in the EU v rUK

Trade with Europe increased in monetary sense at only a 1/4 of the increase with the UK

I take back my comment that Hosie was lying. I gave him too much credit. He has published the figures that prove him to be nothing more than a complete fool!
I'm not even sure what his point was. I suspect he's taken a low point EU year and got a percentage increase to a high point and latching onto it.

Anyone with any brain can see from the figures we do much more intra-UK trade.

Plus Non EU and non rUK has gone from £8b to £16b.

Am I missing something here what he has posted up assuming correct illustrates in every possible measure that the EU are by far the worst performing export market and the smallest. By at least a factor of 2 to it's next closest. It used to be second no longer

I believe he attributed the increase in non EU and non rUK trade to the excellent trade deals that were negotiated by the EU.

The Guardian said:
Mackay said the EU rules had changed while the projects were being set up. He said: “Had the rules not been changed and the budget cover not then been required for these projects, the cover would have been available to support the overall capital programme.”
In other words a big boy did it and ran away. This is a member of a party that states unequivocally that they want Scotland to remain a part of the EU then with the same breath condemns it.

Even if Mackay's simplification of the problem is true it is the job of a governing body to make themselves aware of the rules that affect their ability to operate. Blaming the EU is an admission either way that the SNP are st at their job and st with their choices.

Get this moron of an individual to fk, and quickly please. Trump has nothing on these incompetent simpletons.

Mrs Surgeon is getting a bit hot under her bunnet again. All roads seemingly lead to Independence...

I am increasingly curious to learn why would she be content to be dictated to by the EU? Surely Scotland would be a new and very small fish in an even larger pond. She would have to use the Euro. How would this be of any benefit? Her budget would be tightly controlled by the Stability Pact, and there'd be no Barnett formula, so how does this confer independence?

These aren't rhetorical questions incidentally, I am genuinely interested as to her thought process?
Are you sure they are not rhetorical questions? If you are truly confused allow me to help you.
Ah okay, well hopefully you can help me with another query.

I recently recieved an invitation to a gala dinner being held by the Rhetorical Society. I am unsure whether or not to RSVP. I'd be interested to learn what you would do?
