I like neither Boris or Corbyn. Corbyn came across much better this evening.
Yeah, always good when you try to explain a flagship policy to the audience and they crack up.
Which one? Boris got the most laughs... as in people laughing at him.

Corbyn is very good at these debates. He has the right balance of humility and assertiveness and employs them effectively. And he actually answers questions.

Johnson just brings everything back to Brexit, which is fine as a strategy but only if you do it sensibly. Saying you need to "get Brexit done" and waiting for a clap is not a very convincing answer to most questions.
I agree. I can’t stand Corbyn but I actually think he did better than Boris.

Boris just talking over everyone and clumsily trying to make everything about brexit.

Pretty terrible all around but corbyn at least tried to answer the questions.

A better deal doesn’t exist lol. Wtf. Is this the vote of labour. You’re a copy of your supreme leader. Vacuous st
Wow, nice reply... I agree a "better" deal probably doesnt exist (for labour at least) but thanks for the reply. I'll leave the discussion now.

All I said was I dont think he dodged the question on whether he was going to campaign to leave or stay.

He said what he was going to do and that is to sit on the fence and present the options to the public.
Why are arguing then.

You don’t think the Prime Minister of the country should have a view on the deal he has negotiated with the EU?
His view would be to get the best deal for the workforce and country. That should be his view. He then presents 3 options to the public, they choose.

It's an "informed" version of the initial referendum using a deal generated by labour with 3 potential options.

Like I said I'm not a labour voter, but I understand this logic, whether it is right or wrong... or sitting on the fence, and I
So your mate comes home with a lovely brand new car ..and tells you he got a great deal on it

So you trott off to the car dealer and tell him your mate got a great deal on a new X

The dealer asks if you want the same deal .. so you tell him you dont want the same deal but a better one.. but not the same car .. but you don’t know what car or even if you want a car at all

So the dealer says I can do X on car Y if you sign up today

At which point you say I’m going to go away and consult all my friends and acquaintances and ask them to vote on whether they think I should buy a car at all and if i do, whether I buy yours and I’ll tell you my decision in six months

So, in conclusion, the sharpest mind the Tories can muster manfully fought to a draw at best over a man most on here regard as inept, uneducated and unsuitable?

And the leader of the opposition, the second coming, fought to a draw, at best, with a man many on here think is a complete clown with zero debating skills.

Oh dear, we are in trouble. May I suggest both sides likely lost, and the biggest loser was Britain?

Corbyn is the best campaigner we saw that at the last election, h has played student politics all his life it is his game. Whether he can gain points though with a didgy brexit policy is still to be seen

I agree with this 100%, my point was more on the ph commentary. I suspect Boris will be instructed to avoid as many head to heads with ANY of his opponents. He can deliver a pre prepared speech well but cannot think on his feet and rapidly retreats to bullying bluster and Latin or Greek quotations to baffle us with bullst...

I was once a corbyn fan, but he cannot run his own party, so.how he could run the country is beyond me. Boris is still a car crash in comparison even with him but this is cold comfort. I suspect the blonde bomber will walk this.

I despise Corbyn & all he stands for. Despite that, he got a good shot over "A Christmas Carol" as a pressie for Boris.

A man who can Promise the moon and has no governing history as opposed to actually doing a very hard job. Well reasoned argument.

Only just got In from work, take it I shouldn't be that bothered about watching it?

I guessed it would be a lot of "get brexit done" and "selling our NHS to the USA/ austerity"?

Boris is a long way ahead in the polls. All he needed was a draw.

But neither is inspiring.
