45th President of the United States, Donald Trump (Vol. 9)
Discussion
A while ago I saw a story suggesting that Kanye West was standing.
I brushed it off as a bit of a joke and some self-promotion from him.
I now see that it was actually true and he appears on numerous ballots.
I thought he was a Trump supporter (maybe not?), is this a case of him attempting to take black votes that would never go to Trump and might have gone to Biden?
I feel a bit racist now, I didn't mean to.

How does he get hold of the footage? Or did he also have his own cameras rolling?
https://www.forbes.com/sites/andrewsolender/2020/10/20/cbs-says-if-trump-posts-60-minutes-interview-it-would-violate-white-house-agreement/WH Filmed it, but part of the agreement with CBS was that their tapes would only be for official archive purposes, not broadcast/release.

Much like the YouTube clip of Obama returning to and shaking hands with then speaking to a military person when he had failed to return a salute, the mark of a decent person is often how you deal with making a mistake mfmman said:

has any other President in history ever been under attack from the opposition and the media from day one of taking office?
A couple of points here. 1. In reality he gets treated by the media with far more respect than he deserves because the Americans make their presidents almost like royalty. This tradition has been seriously challenged by electing this carnival barker, but they've really been calm and respectful considering the relentless ststorm he's been responsible for, and just how personally repugnant and rude he is to them.
2. You specifically mention 'day one'. Let's remember what the trump administration did on day one, shall we? Ah yes, Sean Spicer was sent out in front of the bewildered press pool to aggressively lie about the crowd size at the inauguration.

He also started his campaigning for 2020, raising money from day one, after all it was his to spend...paulguitar said:

Incredible to consider that this was a 'smart' thing to do. It set the scene for the next few years, much talk about being smart, great job, tantrums etc.

Trump paid his taxes!
He paid $188,561 in taxes, to China:

"So while Trump has been screeching about Biden & his "shady Chinese business deals," Trump has not only maintained a secret Chinese bank account, but he paid $188,561 in taxes in China from 2013 to 2015, while paying practically nothing in the United States."

I genuinely believed that day that the trump administration would not last past 4-6 weeks. Sadly we've seen repeatedly since then that the checks and balances were not up to the job of handling someone as corrupt as trump.

I expect that if Trump wanted to send a letter to that lady, he would have just sent a short note telling her that her husband was a "loser".Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
