Listened to nearly all of the PM's speech and about 50 % of Corbyns garbage but the best was yet to come...…..Boris rolled out his usual waffle but the jockenese guy, blackford………..what a load of ste or what. Same old crap about how the jocks are "disrespected", "ignored" etc etc.
No wonder everyone buggered off.

He can't, it has been a bad 24hrs for jsf

Cox trying to hold off on the legal advice and now the ecj hinting that we can stop bre it at anytime, you can for give him a little frothing
I would suggest you dont post on my behalf.

Whats been bad in the last 24hrs for me?

My position has been the government is wrong to withhold the legal advice, and in fact they have now been found in contempt of parliament and will be producing that advice tomorrow.

If the ECJ rule UK can withdraw art 50, that doesn't change the situation of how toxic not leaving will be politically.

If they did go down that route i can guarantee there would be a new political party created that would wipe out the 2 party system and would end up with large numbers of MP's. Its dilusional to think the outcome would be meh.

There is a lot of water to pass under the bridge yet. First stage is May will lose this vote. She will then have to go.

I have no idea why people would want to hide their identity. Seems very odd to me.
Really? you can't think of a single reason why people might seek to keep their personal life, private?
No he can't - he atttitude is anyone who seeks to withhold information about themselves is hiding something

I bet he even has a facebook profile with his own name

Nickgnome on FB might have said:
Look at my new front porch - builders did a lovely job

Just got the latest Golf R
Nickgnome on FB might have said:
Looking forward to a holiday in France for two weeks - we are all getting a taxi to the airport in the morning - Love EU me
So that's a picture of the house and location care of FB, A easy burglary while all are away and a all the keys to a nice Golf R for rent for two weeks (part it out when two weeks is up)

Forums are just the same - it's very easy to reveal a lot of information about yourself and you DO NOT know who is reading it......

Just off for some more tinfoil

I don’t care if posters are banned or not.

I do not like our politicians being verbally abused by anonymous posters.

To me it would be like me being verbally to one of my employees.

Maybe the posting rules will change under the new management.
You should have a word with toppstuff then.. his posts on David Davis are quite passionate. smile

It does seem somewhat hypocritical to loudly complain about abuse of policitians, yet think that people banned for being personally abusive to other members of the forum have done no harm.

Ignoring the apparent double standards I don't personally think it's appropriate to hold a public forum to your perceived high standards of a work place. People here are not representing anyone other than themselves, and are not chosen for being representative of a particular ideal. Nor should they. The forums welcome everyone on that basis and public debate is a healthy part of our society.

There are limits of course. The Mods on the whole do prevent outright rule breaking, and that absolutely covers libel, incitement to violence and other inappropriate behaviour. On the other hand, despite the slightly rabid nature of topstuff's rants, I completely support his right to dislike Davis and say so in whatever language he likes. That's on the basis that anyone who wants to defend Davis can also do so and get a fair hearing.

One of the reasons not to believe in your obsession with "who we are" is that a forum like this is about an exchange of ideas and views, not a golf club where membership is predated on a particular status or political opinion. If your views cannot stand by themselves and require that you name drop your extensive friends list to have any weight, then they deserve to be picked apart.

Or you can sit in the back and let some pisshead from Luxembourg drive...
I dislike the drunken man from Lux as much as you do. However in spite of the rhetoric we can decide how to tax and spend already in the UK without him crashing anything.

My life won’t be improved a micro by Leaving.

what’s this Dominic Greive amendment thing about? Sounds dangerous, but I thought any motion of the house can be amended?
bottom line is what grieve has achieved is they get to waffle more in parliament, but whatever they come up with isnt binding on the government and they can ignore it.

Superior is a word I've chosen because it describes the situation nicely.

If you'd like to move to the UK (or another EU country) and you're unlucky enough to be born Nigerian you'll find all sorts of hurdles in your path.

If you're lucky enough to be born Romanian, then you're golden.

Clearly, the EU regards Romanians as superior to Nigerians, which is unfair and discriminatory. I welcome your refutation.

I don't naturally prefer Romanians to Nigerians. I like to think I take as I find, but as Avenue Q taught us, Everyone's a Little Bit Racist.

Maybe you do favour Romanians, and I'd be curious as to why.
You’ve posted something I agree with.

It’s one of the few aspects of Brexit I find attractive.

But on balance it’s not enough to vote leave. Besides the timing sucks , given we have morons in parliament.

What? So we just wait for them to spontaneously get better? Why should they?

One of the arguments for Brexit was exactly that this environment, where responsibility can be passed up the line to some distant and faceless bureaucracy is exactly why we have such poor 'local' representatives. May and Cameron are exactly the sort of politicians we should expect when half of our population think that it's the EU's remit to 'save us from ourselves'. They deferred to the EU and look what we've ended up with.
What are your thoughts on Margaret Thatcher?

Not for long chum.

Just remember that a vote for remain IS not a vote for the status quo. Eu wide fiscal controls will come "soon".

Yeah. Like the straight bananas. It’s possible to make the point for the positive aspects without making things up. Try harder.

Oh. If only.

Mind you , it is not quite as binary as you are trying to set it up to be. There are industries in the UK that do attract subsidies.

You were the one making the binary statement that we had control of our tax and spend policy. I was just pointing out how wrong you are.
