and not one Leave voter, I would suggest, gives a veritable feck.

Enjoy the forthcoming election. 406/242.

I rather suspect there are a lot of voters who will be bothered by Islamophobia just the same as I'm sure anti-Semitism bothers quite a few.

When you turn a blind eye to that kind of thing because they'll get you out the EU (or keep you in it) I tend to think it's time to take a look in the mirror and ask yourself if you're happy with what's looking back at you.

Wrong. Many leave voters want nothing to do with Farage.

Stop confusing leave voters with brexit party supporters.

I voted leave and I think Farage is a disgrace, and so are those brexit party candidates. That’s one of the reasons I wouldn’t support him or any of his parties.

Law of unintended concequences.

When Remainers decided to ignore the referendum and do all they could to frustrate the will of the majority because in their opinion they know better than the majority, they are cleverer, more just, more wordly wise, just "you know" better, they are putting themselves in the position of superiority over their less enlightened fellow citizens. There's a word for that.

It should hardly suprise people that when faced with an injustice the people that are disadvantage gravitate to extremes as has happened throughout history to combat that injustice, especially when the group carrying out that injustice are entrenched in the fabric of the political machinery, and have free use of all resources available to them.

In short as Remainers dont believe in playing by the rules, Leavers are playing the same game now. And there's more of them. 406/242.

This is why we have MP's squatting in the HoC, jumping ship from independence to the hopefully relative safety of any party that will have them, and all frightened to death of the political retribution coming their way because they asked for instruction and then once given failed to enact it.

Because they knew better.

Its not pretty from any vantage point, its going to get nasty, vindictive and generally unpleasant.

But who do we blame for that? Those that voted Leave and trusted the political classes to do the right thing, or the political classes who instead gave two fingers to their electorate.

Its just lucky that we can, eventually once the squatters are removed, do everything through the ballot box as elsewhere in the world the army would probably be moving in by now as neither the Government or the MP's of any persuasion have any legitimacy. If you have any doubt have a think about the Article 50 vote. And the last election. And the referendum before that.

Cheers,

Tony

Tony you've just written a wall of text that seems to come down to "I'll tolerate Islamophobia to get Brexit".

I'm not saying that to call you names I'm saying it because that's how I genuinely see this weird trade-off that people are willing to make with the likes of Farage.

It's weird.

"Keep Boris honest".

Farage has got his work cut out then - a truly Sisyphean task, up there with pledging to "Keep Water Dry", "Keep Ice Hot" and "Keep scensoredt Smelling of Roses"

His post is generally pretty angry and hateful. Hopefully it’s exaggerated or he’s drunk because It’s a bit worrying that people might actually think that way.

I'll vote pragmatically (on the basis that my enemy's enemy is my friend) to ensure that my referendum vote isn't stolen from me. If that means the Brexit Party, so be it. In Hampstead, I suspect it won't smile.

Having said that, I don't even know who the Tory candidate is, or even if there is one...and whether he/she is Remain or Leave. I suspect they'll appoint a Remainer, in which case I'll probably have a duvet day.

Thats the entire point I am making.

By failing to do the right thing by the people, the political classes have left the door open for all sorts of nastiness and unpleasantness to become mainstream. Where there is a vacuum evil fills the void. The political classes now cannot say " Hold on a minute, just because we told you guys to feck off and your vote isnt worth as much as our vote, thats no reason to get nasty," and expect any other result than what is now happening.

A democracy is supposed to be fair. And Remainers made it unfair. People react and some people react badly. Surely that isnt a surprise to anyone. Kick someone in the nuts and he will kick you back.

And its on both sides. Remember that Remainer on the march saying all Leavers should be gassed. The professional Mancunian Terry Christian saying Leavers should die.

It's frankly going to get pretty crap before it gets any better.

It’s going to be gays.

Because of that bloke who was leader and said things about gays.

The one who isn’t leader anymore and was roundly condemned and mocked by his colleagues.

And you’ve made the point Tony.

The fact that the only responses it’s elicited are insults implies that it’s hit home, and is pretty much inarguable, too.

It's just another angry rant Tony.

If you don't like what they stand for don't vote for them.

But don't vote for all that that "nastiness and unpleasantness" which endorses it whilst claiming it's all someone else's fault and they made you do it.

I'm sure you want to set the bar higher than that.

Would be interested to hear how many Farage supporters in here would vote for TBP or Tories in an upcoming election?

Can you risk voting for TBP and then Boris not doing a deal with them?
