Yet they can spunk billions on a vaccine that really isn't needed, waste even more on crap ppe and a track and trace system that hasn't worked.
It is a health service in name only.

Imagine my shock when old people start to die from old age rather than from Covid again.

Well no one really will care if they are dying at 'normal' numbers of old age. The slight problem as you might have noticed is they are dropping dead at very high numbers well above the typical average with covid as the only reasonable denominator wherever you look around the world. If lots of excess deaths start happening due to old age that I admit might be a problem.....

Would be really nice to see a few out of control sledges wiping out a few rozzers.

Speaking of BiB, I know there’s a few on PH - would be nice to get their view of all these fining shenanigans.
I assume their families, kids etc must be feeling how many of us do with regard to the stupid ‘enforcement’.

yes

I think it’s all very embarrassing for us, as do ALL of my colleagues.

Thankfully, I haven’t yet been tasked to deal with any incidents like this. I was in a supermarket last week to get milk for my shift, and gave a cheery “good morning” to a woman not wearing a mask. I really don’t care anymore.....

"Up to 40% of Covid patients in hospital in first wave - around 36,000 - caught it AFTER being admitted as SAGE paper claims stopping spread in NHS trusts could have made a 'substantial' reduction in deaths"

Oops.

I used to go to the gym 4-5 times a week, i struggle in the cold outside, but last year my fitness has dropped massively. I honestly don't get how gyms closed but fat bds can stuff their faces at takeaways.
I'm with you there. I was CrossFitting 3x per week and a MTB ride or jog at the weekend..e done pretty much fk all for the last few months and feel physically deflated, fat and similarly incensed that the main thing that stops you dieing of covid has been closed down.

It's psychotic.

My sister and her shift are sick of it. Getting pushed more to give out fines at houses but will only give them out if the person fully admits they are breaking the legislation. Otherwise its advice.

So a load of people just turn up at the same spot un-organised means they can't fine anyone. Then they quote the police basically trying to figure a way that they can go and fine everyone.

How do they think they can make that stick?
Why didn't they fine the people litter picking? That was clearly organised.

Thanks for replying - if only more of your colleagues were like you. smile
Perhaps more are, but obviously we don’t get to see those on SM...
As a whole, do you/ your colleagues feel there’ll be a bit of a backlash from the public (if and when this is over), or that you’ve lost the public’s trust?

If you we’re out and about and had a colleague trying to give a FPN for some minor COVID misdemeanour, what would you do?

I’ve probably missed the discussion on here re over 80’s deaths - but found this on Twitter.

Any truth in it, or just bks?

Stay at home. Save lives. Save yourself.

Why am I not surprised by this at all?

Our hospitals are filthy.

Potentially, but you need CFR to compare with first wave and there are down by a third as i posted a sky link earlier on it.

Someone posted a tweet earlier about the Welsh assembly voting to cancel the elections in May. I can't find the post or the tweet or any reference to it online. Could anyone point me to it please?

The excess deaths are only excess in a world without COVID

There's one problem with that view of the world ...

All the rain has turned the usual MTB trails into a boggy mess, It's fking freezing, pitch black by the time I've finished work.....and I've lost my mojo.

It'll improve when the weather does though.
