It takes a certain type of person that knowing he was about to leave office, chose to sanction the execution of as many people as he could. Not withstanding their crimes, there is a certain evil in this act.
It is a measure of the utter vileness of this human tapeworm.

Like it or not he was and always will be the 45th President of the USA.
Yes, of course he will. But as a teenager, 20+ years ago, I had a Saturday job in a Supermarket, no one refers to me as "Former Supermarket employee KR158". So why should anyone reference Trump's former role?

Convention. To some he will always be Mr President. To most of us just Trump.

Gina Haspell of CIA has gone

CIA
@CIA

The #CIA workforce thanks Director Haspel for her 36 years of dedicated service to the American people.
You have broken barriers and empowered the next generation of CIA officers.

Remember when Qanon claimed she was killed or captured and taken to Guantanamo in a special forces raid to secure 'secret servers'

I feel like Vol 12 should be called 45th Ex-President. Premature, but worth celebrating.

Edit- I see I missed that discussion.

Apparently Trump has recorded his farewell message and it's going to be released this evening. I wonder if the pardons will come tonight as well? I've been glued to American politics (and this thread) for the last four years, so the next 24 hours will be fun!

Senate Democrats announce the first bill of the new Congress will be the For the People Act.
The legislation includes steps to make it easier to vote, campaign finance provisions to increase disclosure of donations, and ethics requirements for Congress and the executive branch.
Is that similar to the late John Lewis's Voting Rights Act? That should be enacted as his legacy

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell says retailers including Bed, Bath and Beyond, Kohl’s, H-E-B and Wayfair are dropping his company’s products because of his continued belief in conspiracy theories surrounding President Trump’s election results, namely, that there was widespread voter fraud.

Lindell made the announcement with the conservative Right Side Broadcasting Network, shared to Twitter on Saturday. The news was first reported by CBS Minnesota.

“I just got off the phone with Bed Bath & Beyond,” Lindell said during the interview. “They’re dropping MyPillow.”

“Just got off the phone — not five minutes ago. Kohl’s, all these different places. ... These guys don’t understand,” he went on. “They’re scared. Like a Bed Bath & Beyond, they’re scared. They were good partners. In fact, I told them, ‘You guys come back anytime you want.’”

That was me. Seemed pretty obvious what was going to happen. If I worked for him and saw that image of his notes when he was going into the White House I'd have been looking for a job right then.

Oh dear, how sad, never mind.

Edited to make it clear it wasn't just his notes going in smile

I'm starting to think that Trump will not release his taxes, Mexico is not paying for the wall and the great health plan may not be released.

Quite often they couldn't. Such is the way the politics works in their system.

Biden doesn't have any excuses now, will he shut Guantanamo Bay as Obama and he as VP promised?

O unbeliever. Tomorrow is the day his great plan is revealed. I have personal knowledge (which I can't share) but it's going to be big. Huge. Biggest and hugest plan ever.
