Whatever happened to getting HS2 announcement out of the way early? It's derailing every conversation despite the 'look squirrel' councils could tell you how often you could go to the shops non-message. It's risible.
Times Radio are saying there is a 99% chance of the Birmingham to Manchester section of HS2 being axed - And that West Midlands Major Andy Street may resign..!

Rishi should just get on with the expected HS2 announcement and explain that it's simply got wildly out of hand.
Rightly or wrongly, a high % of voters will think it's the right solution - and that he deserves credit for a difficult decision.
Whatever happens with all this speculation, Rishi will need to make his position clear long before his keynote speech on Wednesday..
