The raffle prizes are turning into a great opportunity to summarise the SNP's greatest "hits".

9th Prize - a SMART bottle, can and plastic receptacle recycling machine (with no server to connect to because Circularity Scotland went bust).

ETA. Interestingly the Circularity Scotland website is still running despite the plc being in administration for over a year now.

Can't have an election during the Scottish school holidays?

Why's that then?

Does everyone in Scotland spend the entire six weeks in Florida?

How about they only spend five weeks in Florida and spend a few days visiting Muckle Flugga where they can enjoy practising their Gaelic.
No Gaelic spoken in Shetland, they never have been Gaelic speaking and have their own diatect.
No language of any kind spoken on Muckle Flugga - it's been uninhabited since the last human residents left in 1995 when the lighthouse was automated. There has never been any other type of human occupation as it's just a rock!

The obvious and smart thing to do is to cut Matheson adrift and make a virtue of it, but by coming out to defend him today just reminds the public how corrupt the SNP are.
It's because Swinney and the SNP acolytes are fully invested in their own propaganda, which is Scottish exceptionalism. Believing in SNP 'Scotland' makes you virtuous regardless of your actions.

True independence supporters are not welcome (because of Alex Salmond), and Toarees are scum. From a disinterested point of view it very much looks like xenophobia, and possibly racism (to paraphrase Sturgeon).

It's not just politics, it's manifestly the right thing to do.

That's what irritates; people hate it when politicians (or anyone else 'in authority/power') does something that they know they wouldn't get away with themselves.
Really it would have been an easy win for them, but it's actually a rare bit of financial prudence from the SNP.
I mean just imagine how much it'd cost the taxpayers if he was sitting at home with his laptop and nothing to do at the start of the euros. hehe

I’ve just got round to watching that rather than reading the reports….wow, his position on this (attacking the process) is nonsensical (for anyone outwith the cult) and is a very bad look. I think this could run, especially with the motion next week. For Swinney to allow this to overshadow the election is mind numbingly dumb. Not so honest John.

It is actually staggering that such an unaccomplished politician as Matheson gets to consume what will probably be a fatal amount of political capital for the SNP.

He's a no-mark. A nothing. Completely dispensable and with probably little-to-no long term effects on him or his family who will be well taken care of by the public pension fund thanks to his very long yet anonymous parliamentary service.

It beggars belief. Swinney could have scored a massive win here at absolutely zero cost but instead chooses to mire himself in the same st that his predecessor did.

Mind boggling political ineptitude.

Absolutely agree. Swinney's brass neck in saying the conservatives were bringing the Scottish Parliament into disrepute is one of the most hypocritical things I've ever watched !! Absolutely incredible.

Indeed, but it is the only weapon left in his chest ie. to appeal to the 'Toaree haters'. Problem is the 'Toaree haters' might twig that the Toarees are't going to be doing much after July 4th so voting SNP is backing the wrong horse as far as that is concerned.

Which leaves the SNP as the party of the blood and soil nationalists aka. the xenophobes and racists.

Plus ça change.

Labour aren't going to win barring utter SNP meltdown but have the best chance. It's not any easier here in Argyll&Bute, the polls have been all over the place in the last 12 months, some saying tories are in 2nd place, now it's saying labour are 2nd. I just want rid of our utterly worthless seatwarmer of an SNP MP, I'd vote for auld nick himself if it got rid of that useless waste of space. He can fk off back to TV production land where he supposedly came from.

LibDem. Two reasons. They have the best chance. Secondly as Labour are winning big at UK level anyway we still need some sort of opposition in Westminster.

I also live in Mid Dumbartonshire (new name after boundary changes). Libdems are getting my vote. I am even, for the first time in my life, considering asking if they need help sticking leaflets through doors. I don't agree with all their policies but the number one objective is to kick the SNP while they are down.

A swing constituency. Have the LDs picked a candidate? Any sign of Jo Swinson contesting it again? hehe

Was only some 650 seats in it last time, but boundary change and with everyone hating the tories more than usual even with the SNP dislike now too the SNP expected to win. No idea who to vote for tbh

My Constituency too.

SNP candidate.

Grossly overweight and constantly ill (connected?)
Follows the Party trans line and all that bks.
Best that SNP could put forward, nearest rival was full on 'Check his electronic devices'!

Tory candidate

Local Vet, Council Leader, defines a Woman as 'Adult Human Female'
Seems very dynamic and connected to the World.
Impressed even the local Tory old guard who don't even speak to Douglas Ross as he's a Cattleman to trade....

Last election I was leafleting for the SNP, now, for the first time ever I'll likely vote Tory, whilst holding my nose, ONLY to keep the SNP and their crooks and Perverts out.
