After the way they've treated the oil and gas industry I can't really see the SNP taking seats in the North East from the Tories. I guess you never know though.
+ the taxes that will mean every single Oil and Gas worker will be feeling some grievance

I'll be gutted if the SNP take West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine. Doesn't bear thinking about.

You would hope so. But there is 2026 Holyrood seats to fight for. If the consituency seats for Holyrood are decimated the SNP will be getting a lot of list MSPs. All of a sudden that cunning plan to give BAME or "disabled" candidates the right to first place on the list might be questioned. A lot of infighting to get back on the gravy train. Huge entertainment.
There's going to be a few dozen ex-MPs with PTSD in 6 weeks, will they get preferential positions on lists? scratchchin

Just to be clear, I don’t think their vote will increase, I just think the Tories vote may decline more and the hard core of facepainters might be enough to carry the seat. A couple of things that I don’t think Electoral Calculus really models properly are the Alba factor and the personalities that may be involved in a particular seat. For example, if Salmond was to run somewhere (presumably in the NE?) then one would expect him to take far more votes from the SNP than AN Other candidate would. It also thinks Joanne Cherry will narrowly lose Edinburgh South West to Labour, I wonder if a personal vote might sway things enough there and it thinks Neale Hanvey and Lisa Cameron are both SNP members, in both cases these individuals personal vote could harm the SNP, not that it makes much difference in Kirkcaldy & Cowdenbeath, but it could make East Kilbride & Strathaven less marginal for Labour.

A colleague was in a house in the east end of Glasgow today. Like most homes it had framed photos of family in the walls. The biggest photo was a framed picture of Nippy. Which was topped by a Nicola Sturgeon cushion on the couch.

It's a cult.

Actually I thought it was a wind up but

They missed an opportunity by not including one of those cushions in the Baby Boxes.

It’s ok, you get a copy of STV’s Sturgeon Coronavirus tribute video instead.

I forgot all about that...Kim Jong Sturgeon vibes about it.

The best bit of the whole clip is Pete "The Wind Bag" Wishart interview...he's full of wind and pish.

Put them on backwards and fart and it would be scarily realistic.

Looks like David Tydeman's NDA may not be that tight - criticism of the SNP's plan for the yard, though not a direct attack on the yard itself:

https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/the-flaw-in-th...

Good to see the latest LinkedIn post from the yard - photos of a patchy green deck, not showing that the main part of the deck is still unpainted (this has still taken them over a month). More window dressing to give the impression of a finished product:

LNG pipework still ongoing, despite them saying it would be finished by start of May. Non-LNG associated work still ongoing, despite them saying it would be finished by start of May.

It's not coming by the end of July - Parliament breaks for Summer at end of June, GE in July, so expect a delay announcement then with no consequences or debate. Happy Days!

Nationist votes get split in Tayside as Alba are running two candidates. It would be funny if the SNP lost those seats in a very small margin, less than the Alba vote.

Funny? It would be hilarious. Cannot wait to see SNP thrown out of Dundee, for the life of me cannot understand why people still vote for these buffoons

Dundee West and East have almost universally been a Labour stronghold since their inception, until 2015 and 2005 respectively. Chris Law the incumbent in Dundee West has the begging bowl out again for the good people of the constituency to dig deep and fund his re-election - from what I hear it's not going too well. Donations are, how shall we say, meagre to date. I don't think the castle dwelling raconteur is as universally popular as he likes to imply, so maybe - just maybe - there's a possibility that he will be handed his jotters on July 5th.

Dozy Hosie in Dundee East is not standing for re-election this time, so no doubt the local branch nominations of good and faithful long serving campaigners and local councillors will be overruled by The Party in the name of diversity, equity and inclusion, and parachute in some mad blue haired hippo claiming to be neuro-divergent or identifying as a potato peeler to get to the top of the selection process. If they do this - and I sincerely hope they do - the good people of Dundee East might reject such a policy & vote for someone else.

That's without the added complication of Alba hopefully standing two candidates & robbing significant votes from the Scumbag Nats...
