Who the hell is Mungo?
From what I remember, an early member who would post about his friday/saturday nights in a drunken "is it me" sort of way.

It's weird, I was about to ask about him a while back, but considered it a bit ghey to go asking.

He is a genuinely decent guy, at least as far as I could gather over the internet.

I'm surprised he left PH really. In all my years on here it feels pretty much the same to me scratchchin

Nah.

Those gravel transporters are not the quickest things on the water. Probably somewhere between 12-15kts cruising speed.

Most of them only ever travel a few miles from port, so speed isn't that important.

"Steering failure" my arse. Reckon someone said they'd be fine getting over the bar at the entrance of teh harbour and forgot they were carrying a few tons extra gravel. I've had a couple of bumpy exits/entrances but mostly on a rising tide so no harm done...

Yeah a couple of PH'ers took pictures of him at Gunwharf (portsmouth) starting in the underground car park and throughout his date.

Genius thread!

How did I miss this?!

The phrase from Mungo that has always stuck in my mind was thus -

"as quick in the real world as a Cerb"

In reference to his Cupra R, which I think was only lightly breathed on, with remap etc.

Brilliant rofl
