Yes. There was nothing more to be said about that, so the discussion moved on.
Moved off topic, as often happens.

Actually the best you can do, without resorting to physically recalibrating the Speedo by adjustment, is to determine the error in the readings by comparison with sat nav first, and then a secondary check using an official measured mile, as one example. That's what I've done, anal, yes, takes a bit of effort, yes, worth a periodic check, yes. But if you know that at a true 50, say, your speedo reads 52, then you just keep it below 52, assuming suitable graduations on the scale. That's what I do, it's quite simple, it keeps you legal and, for example, on those looooong motorway road works with average cams you are usually one of the ones making best legal progress.

As for your Dad at the T junction, maybe he has read this, Dropbox link
Interesting article. and oddly, enough, my dad was in the RAF all his working life...... wink

I keep planning to mount my GPS on the bike, just for its usual purpose, plus the blinking red background on the speed reading when over the known speed limit.

Something I saw on Facefook last week, a brief video from some outraged outlaw type motorcyclist, complaining about three near misses he had with car drivers in a 20 mile ride. I responded, stating that if it were me, I would be having a very close look at my riding style, rather than venting on Facefook.

Yep, sunny here too but a bit chilly.
Was thinking I might have steak for tea, got a lovely ribeye in and new griddle weight to try.
I do think ribeye is the best cut.......

Anyone got any recommendations for a decent box-set to watch? Have just finished Ozark, which we really enjoyed.

Don't use Sky box set, but if "Outlander" is on it, that's good.

Just been roped into "Game of thrones", gruesome but intriguing, they didn't take prisoners in those days.

Thank you. Any idea where I can get a spare gearbox for a '41 Chevy pickup?
