Without deviating too far off topic, all of Larry Parnes' "boys" were given "macho" sounding names -

Marty Wilde
Johnny Gentle
Billy Fury
Vince Eager
Dickie Pride
Georgie Fame

apart from Joe Brown who refused to give up his proper name.

I'm not sure I would call Eager, Pride (especially as I now live in Brighton and with a first name of Dickie!) and Fame as all that macho. And as for Gentle!

He was named Reginald Leonard Smith so anything is up from that.
