Excellent that you recovered quickly.
It's a shame that the nation didn't use the pandemic to truly change there diet, get more exercise and be positive.
Had we done so (instead of the government actively promoting the opposite) im certain the pandemic would've been a non event.
So now diet and exercise can prevent someone catching a viral disease? It's a shame that the nation didn't use the pandemic to truly change there diet, get more exercise and be positive.

Absolutely.I myself used it and most importantly sheer force of will to avoid it.
I had total belief in myself and my ability not to catch it.
You'd be surprised what you can achieve if you truly and Absolutely believe.
I don't "Think" I can do something, I don't " try" I don't hope.
I know.

No government has any authority to imprison me in my own home, or legislate for who can I have inside my own home.
And no government will ever do it to me again, because I will not just ignore it, I will openly and intentionally defy it.
We'll see how things play out next time given Whitty's lockdown opinion. And no government will ever do it to me again, because I will not just ignore it, I will openly and intentionally defy it.
Covid inquiry: First lockdown imposed a bit too late - Whitty
Although interestingly...

He added: "My view is, with the benefit of hindsight, we went a bit too late on the first wave.
"I was probably further towards, 'let's think through the disadvantages here before we act' and also in making sure that in giving my advice, that ministers were aware of both sides of the equation.
"The biggest impacts of those would be areas of deprivation and those in difficulties, and those living alone and so on," Sir Chris said.
"So, I was very aware that we essentially had two different things we were trying to balance - the risk of going too early, in which case you get all the damages from this with actually fairly minimal impact on the epidemic, and the risk of going too late, in which case you get all the problems of the pandemic running away."
And he said: "Even at the height of the pandemic, more people died of causes not Covid than died of Covid."
"Every one of those deaths is tragic on both of those sides."

We couldn’t have gone earlier with lockdown because it didn’t exist as an option. It was invented on the hoof during the first two weeks of March.
I was listening to a few reactions on the radio on the way home and find it infuriating that some people are still suggesting that COVID deaths could have been prevented. It’s utter lunacy that requires an almost total lack of logical thinking. COVID swept through the population despite everything we did. Our best efforts merely slowed it down and led to secondary waves. Vaccines didn’t stop it. Or masks. Or lockdown.
The idea that we could have avoided it if we had locked down a week earlier is so blindingly moronic that I find it almost impossible to understand how anyone can believe it.

That's exactly what he claimed on one of those morning TV programs. Remember he said he'd not had a cold in about 30 years because of his diet.
Sounds like BS to me but he's the doctor.

Go on social media and you'll see thousands upon thousands of people who Absolutely know they can avoid all kinds of illness by being strong and positive.
It's about personal choice.
No, it's really not. Are you saying you've never caught a cold, or had any viral disease in your life, all because of positivity? At best mis-informed, at worst delusional. It's about personal choice.

“ I won’t be catching Covid “ I said on these very pages a few years back.?
Well I’m delighted - but not surprised to advise that I got through the pandemic unscathed. I said I wouldn’t catch Covid and sure enough despite being unvaccinated, never wearing a mask, travelling extensively and mixing freely I am here to tell the tale.
Alive, well and larger than life. I made the decision not to catch it and stuck to that.
Exercise, good nutrition and a positive mindset. That’s what worked.
That sounds hard... Can I get a pill, or perhaps an injection for the same result without any effort or work please? Here's a post from my old left-leaning rave site on the subject of Covid:
"I got my very first jab very early on due to personal circumstances. I don't think i had caught it before that.
I had it 4 or 5 times and had regular boosters.
The first couple of times it was just a passing show with a day or 2 of feeling a bit rough.
Last time and this time hit me proper hard. Last time probably a bit harder, but this time wasn't pretty either"

Very interesting video by Russell Brand on Moderna's antics. Regardless of your views on him, the evidence (mainly from Unherd) is considerable.
Yes, however it's preaching to the choir for most of us here and all those in the 'other' thread won't watch it simply because of the author and it not coming from a source with "BBC" somewhere in the title.119 said:
I am sure it will, but to say the pandemic may have been a non event if people exercised more is honestly laughable.
The stats are available on the NHS England website. The number of people that died from COVID in England without at least 2 co morbidities was tiny. Those numbers don't factor in obesity. 26% of adults are obese in the UK and a further 39% overweight. I'd wager that obesity was a major factor in the miniscule % of deaths of so called healthy people (i.e deaths that didn't include comorbidities).
There's a reason that COVID wasn't a thing in some african countries with younger, fitter populations.
So no, it's not laughable. If more people in this country actually bothered about their health and looked after themselves a bit more it could very easily have been a non event.
It was a complete paradox seeing clearly overweight, unhealthy people demanding lockdowns and for everyone to mask up/get jabbed to protect them. They'd suddenly taken an interest in their own health!
Agreed.
I spend six months of the year in Kenya.
Minimal health care system.
Covid was barely an issue.
Why?
Here our lifestyles are killing us and the NHS keeps us alive, there? Lifestyle enhances your life and the health care kills you.
Prevention is better than cure.
Get fit, get healthy, lose weight, get active and believe with passion.
It works.

They also don’t get obsessed over made up contextless Tik Tok videos. Agree with the above, if we’d just looked after our own health plus ignored anything from the government and social media you wouldn’t even know there was anything going on.
We’re now in our 3rd year of sustained large rise in excess deaths (across all ages), surely this is something that should be of major concern. Not only that, general sickness and work days lost is very high, which is putting a strain on everything. This is far more of a problem than 2020 was, yet no one is talking about it. In fact they are ignoring it.
