Even more appalling is that its always the victims fault!"These girls shouldn't be out when its dark", that came from india."How would anyone know how old these girls are when they dress the way they do" came from Rotherham. Is it something they eat or simply a severe lack of self control or worse still absolutely no respect.?

grim first picture ... sensitive folks may want to avert their eyes.
can't believe all the mobile phones in that pic ... not sure why anyone would want a picture of that on their phone.
country is all kinds of messed up.

The pendulum has swung too far the other way, but inevitable. No doubt the authorities will clamp down.
I think from our (safe) perspective, it's hard to understand the reality of living there.Clearly, whilst there are some abject bds about in India, as we all know - since none of us in this day and age is not either friends with or at least working with or living near, first or second generation Indian immigrants - there are huge numbers of people who share western views on women's rights. When the law is so ineffective at preventing these atrocities in the first place, it is unfortunately inevitable that some might (wrongly) seek to ensure it.

The reason they banned the BBC documentary from public broadcast is because it would have exposed the myth about all these problems being the result of uneducated mindsets. Even educated people are part of the problem due to crap attitudes. That would have been an immense insult, hence the ban. Lucky we have the internet all the people I know out there have been sharing the links around so that it is viewed in India as much as possible.
