Press regulation via royal charter
Discussion
It's taken 200 years but the political classes have finally got around to taking control of newspapers just as the life support of print journalism and the newspaper industry is being turned off. The symbiotic relationship between print media and politicians and the power it has brought a very few individuals was its' sole purpose, this is a very typical example of people cutting of their nose to spite their face. I doubt in 10 years time we will have newspapers in the way we recognise them today.
