Sounds like they're rebranding the PCC or am I being too simplistic?

it's all a waste of time, the press broke existing laws beforehand. what's needed is better enforcement not more regulation. perhaps set up a scheme whereby whistle blowers are (very) well rewarded.

It's taken 200 years but the political classes have finally got around to taking control of newspapers just as the life support of print journalism and the newspaper industry is being turned off. The symbiotic relationship between print media and politicians and the power it has brought a very few individuals was its' sole purpose, this is a very typical example of people cutting of their nose to spite their face. I doubt in 10 years time we will have newspapers in the way we recognise them today.

I haven't bought a newspaper for years, why do I want to read yesterday's news today when I can read today's news now online.
