This is a little random, but do you find yourself looking at the BBC News website any less since the redesign? I used to look at it constantly through the day, but now really don't bother frown

Don't like the redesign at all. Menu at the top is difficult to use. Plus all the flash videos grind my netbook to a halt.

Much, much less. There's hardly any content on it any more and, as above, the videos annoy me.

Yeah, I hardly use it anymore, it just looks lower rent somehow. Much busier, less subtle, just don't like it. The previous understated look was much 'cleaner' imo.

I'm glad the Sport section still has the old look. I think they were due to switch it to be like the News section, but I can only imagine the amount of negative feedback has put that change on hold. I do think however it's too much of a climbdown for them to go back to the older style on the News site.

It is bloody terrible. It's like picking up a red-top after reading a broadsheet.

Glad I'm not the only one! Used to read it daily at lunchtimes, don't bother at all now unless something catches my eye on my news RSS feeds.

Doesn't look like it has much content at all.

I stopped reading BBC News (and watching it) when they became Labour's mouthpiece and a bunch of ecomentalist lefty-leaning wkers.

I agree it is worse.

Another example of changing something to give the illusion of progress.

I don't really mind the design itself, but the move to making it more video based is a bad one IMHO as I generally prefer to quickly read through a story rather then watch it presented to me and often don't have the AV to watch a video anyway.

I'm sure they used to have more stories listed on the front page too which wasn't so pretty to look at but easier to scan.

I don't like video news on the 'net. I'd rather browse a report or skip through it as I want. If I want to watch the news, I have a TV.

I stopped visiting the BBC news site when they changed the Have Your Say format. Instead allowing votes on comments and sorting that way, they are all just in a long list. This was only to remove the obvious anti-Labour feelings.

It is rubbish. Totally agree with the point about video - if I want video news I'll watch the TV, thanks. Nothing more annoying than clicking a link and finding it's a video story.

I was on it the other day and got a pop-up survey which asked lots of questions about what I thought of the new layout. Hopefully they will realise their error and revert to how it was before.

I rather hope the new layout drives people away, the buggers are still little more than Labour's PR department.

Yip, the new design is very poor.

I don't think the new site looks too bad, but the old design was very usable and one glace would bring you up to date with everything happening in the world - so I checked it quite regularly.

The new design feels like you've having to actively search to find out what's going!
