They are not the first and will not be the last in any sport and any nationality.

Agreed, but it seems that a larger number of Welsh players seem destined to self destruct and throw away prodigious talent. Maybe the pressure is too much - was King Barry right to retire so early?

Never really paid much attention to it before. What are the figures for self destruction?

Poor reporting. They were in fact fat footballers. Rugby players are not programmed to do anything wrong, it is impossible because they are all jolly good chaps.

Don't be silly, the rugby players just won't go crying to mummy afterwards wink

QPR travel to Cardiff at the weekend in a top-of-the-table clash. That'll be me avoiding Kerdiff then - talk about bank holiday warzone.

Powell - looks very much like he was the victim, rather than the instigator perhaps. Why would he start a battle with a handlfull of fat blokes?

Henson - well the less said the better. I've always tried to look beyond the 'appearance' with this guy, but have rearely been impressed, other than with his occasional brilliance as a player.

Davies - can't really comment, as the report gives very little detail.

Bizarrely it looks like Powell is actually the one not at fault here. Brad Davies suprises me, partly because it doesn't seem like him and partly because you'd have to be derranged to pick a fight with him eek

Where was that thread about football player, and rugby players, and how rugby players are all! As you say, jolly good chaps? hehe

Certainly (this time) Powell looks the innocent, unless he's up to his usual and those blokes are having a "quiet talk" with him about a (another) missing golf kart. biggrin

It would not surprise me if both Powell and Davies were victims of the 'big bloke' thing; you know, every nutter and his dog wants to have a go because, even if they get ttted, it's still a 'story' and a bit of kudos for them.

No, the one from a few weeks ago, regarding singing the national anthem.

Quite. I dread to think what Wind Street and The Kingsway are like of a Saturday evening these days.

QPR are pretty bad too. Reason I mentioned it in this context is Powell is ex-Cardiff Blues, and was no doubt chanting Cardiff songs at the QPR blokes (perhaps unwisely!) who then beat the st out of him.

So... QPR are travelling to Cardiff this week and I reckon there'll be trouble as a result.
