Interested and probably in the wrong forum (apologies mods).

How would the government or the US government speak to say Russia? I presume they wouldn't simply pick up the telephone and use the usual telephone lines etc. Satellite maybe?

Curious.....!

Brilliant - many thanks. I didn't know that. I'd heard of the Red Hotline (Yes Prime Minister).

At this point I imagine there'll just be a WhatsApp group with Trump, Musk, Putin and KJ Un sharing memes and plotting their next move together.

Haha - Friends close and enemies closer...... (I suspect).

How many other politicians have been to see "Rocketman" which completely de-escalated the situation a few years ago.

Another route is to call in their ambassador for a meeting or send your ambassador to deliver the message.

De-escalation of a situation that trump had escalated? Which NK soon ignored and started doing missile testing again? That de-escalation?

Heads of state have phones in their offices but they are not BT . They are made by the company responsible for 'The Bat Phone'
