As long as there's a large, brightly lit wall around it and neon signs saying what's going on inside then that's fine with me.

Other than that, I don't wish to stumble across rutting whilst out for a nice stroll no matter who or what is up to it.

One of the pictures shows a man fingering another man’s smelly bum. Each to their own and all that but that’s not really what most people want to see when out for a walk no matter what the protesters may enjoy.

I see the historical reason for it but is it still appropriate when everyone has a phone capable of running Grindr? Probably not.

I thought sex in a public place was made illegal a few years ago but apparently it's only the case if 2 or more people are watching and get upset about it......which begs the question why are you watching if you don't like it rofl
In all seriousness, take it indoors guys..... it's never women is it,or is it, I don't know, maybe lesbians are licking each other on that tree blah

Probably because they aren't 'out' and have no where else to go, especially if they are student age.

I dunno, just to play devils avocado for the gaymen:

‘Cottaging’ I believe is the term (?) probably is part of the culture. Not sure about ‘right’ though. I got into a habit of going for late night runs through the park and there was often ‘activity’ in the bushes near the toilets.

Keep it out the way of the kids and after midnight and I can’t see the issue. Dogging likewise.

Edit: just glanced at the article. What on earth is a fk tree? rofl

Actually, I don’t want to know

I too am off the "live and let live" persuasion on this one.

I was running on Hampstead Heath, crossed the road at the top and started heading down through the woods on the Golders Green side. I jogged into a small clearing and it looked like a glitter bomb had gone off, except it was discarded condom wrappers.

So in addition to keeping it away from kiddies, I'd add "and take your litter home".

Possibly some of the trees on the edge of the clearing would be fk trees. I don't know, and in this matter I think ignorance is bliss.

I don't think any type of sexual interaction in a public place is acceptable, straight or gay. Somewhere hidden from the public eye at night, ok, if that's what floats your boat.

Years ago I went in a public toilet in a park during the day and caught two men engaged in a sex act. I told them to get the fk out and being how I am I just took the piss out of them.

5 mins later a van full of travellers turned up with their kids to use these toilets.

I am sure everyone will agree me taking the piss out of them and telling them to get out was a better alternative than the travellers catching them.

I posted on here about it and got a ban for posting my disgust at it because apparently men giving other men blow jobs during the day in a public toilet is ok and my post was homophobic.

I don't give a st which way someone swings at all, but I do not think sex acts where people, especially kids might see is acceptable.

You do realise online newspapers target what type of news you see according to your browser history?

Are you getting confused with targeted ads, as I have just checked guardian and daily mail in Incognito and they both look the same.

Would it make sense to actually reverse that map, and make it “This IS the cruising area” so mums, dog walkers and homophobes can avoid.

Mate of mine met George Michael, whilst both were cruising for action on the Heath.

Not George’s type (or vice versa?) but they ended up sat on a bench having a nice chat for an hour so.

He has also met another famous chap whilst looking for action. Swapped numbers and are still in touch, famous guy went through quite a lengthy period of depression dropped; out of show business for a couple of years.

They would meet up for coffee and a chat about his issues. Tabloids were horrible to him, presenting it in a ‘friends concerned about…’ ‘friends of x say blah blah’ type of way. All absolute bullst of course.

Won’t name him as he is in the public arena.

Social aspect to this, one could argue.

Men have sex with men in the woods shocker.

It's been happing forever because people have treated us badly in the past and some still do now.
Single gays are unlikely to have their own place and hotel rooms are iffy so it kinda location of last resort.
