Still dont see why some people buying houses should be subsidised by the tax payer
The same can be said for many thing, why should the tax payer subsidise people who have children? Look at the bigger picture, people who have children spend lots of money on then boosting the fragile economy. Ergo, people buying houses spend lots of money on the things that make them nice....It would be interesting if he came out with:-
"Well in the summer I offered up the £4.4billion in Welfare cute you have rejected them as such given all departments are stretched to the limit then we are increasing income tax & VAT, sadly this isn't what you want to hear but you have closed down the alternate options. We physically cannot tax the bankers as their whole salaries do not even breach £1billion and we already take 57% away from them".
Or we are removing tax free threshold to £0 to show that we are all in it together.

There is extra money for the NHS to help the winter crisis
Although we have extra money to splurge on vanity projects etc

Economically it's not the smartest move - your instantly creating inflation in the economy and also taking spending money away from the poorest. Fuel duty hits the poorest the most the higher earners it's meh reallyWelshbeef said:

That all depends if increased fuel duty adds much to bus fares. I doubt the poor will be hit that hard because of it. BoRED S2upid said:

Given that Carney has egg on his face because his oft warned of rate-hikes cannot be implemented because of effective deflation, and also in part due to EU issues too, that might be less of a concern.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
