Is this good or bad?
Potentially good if you have debt, bad if you have savings.Trying to stave off a recession?

I'm going to have to dig out my mortgage agreement to have a look at whether it says anything about my tracker rate tracking into negative rates, or whether 0% is as low as it goes!
I remember people telling me I was nuts to go for base rate plus 1.2% when I could've got base rate plus 0.5%.
That was 9 years ago. I'm really rather glad I went for a life-of-mortgage tracker rate rather than a 2 year deal.
