Is this a turning point for Trump?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-5284419...

He’s also been censored by Twitter for inciting violence

This is becoming a proper ststorm. Usually his tweets recieve a good amount of praise in the comments but there's really not much this time round.

Whilst I don't advocate destroying peoples businesses, I can see how it has come to this point and sadly I don't have much issue with it. The country is a mess.

Trump will hate the lack of positive comments, he seems like a guy that thrives off being liked.

You don't have an issue with innocent people having their businesses destroyed? Why do they deserve that treatment? I can see how the protests have spiralled into violence and looting, as they so often do, it doesn't make it right, or excusable, no matter what the reason for the protest.

I do have an issue with that. I am trying to keep it diplomatic as the anger in the US is justified but I do wish it could be done in a way that didn't put folks livelyhood/lives at risk.

I'm sure I remember reading a statistic somewhere that having a fire in your business will likely cause it to fail before long. Regardless of the damage be it small or total loss.

ETA: had one crap cup of coffee so may not be getting what I'm trying to say out properly hehe

People will always try and take advantage of situations like this. They care little for what caused the riots to begin with no matter how legitimate the cause maybe and see it as an opportunity to steal or destroy with little comeback.

Same with the London riots.

As seen on Twitter this morning, but paraphrased because I can't find it now:

There was an issue with Colin Kapernick & others kneeling at NFL Games, an entirely peaceful way to protest the injustice, so why are they now surprised when it escalates?

Anyone watching CNN? Crew have been arrested, but the camera on the ground kept rolling. It’s now broadcasting from the hands of a state trooper. This is all a bit mad

If this is the state of the USA, what a mess. I can't believe it. It's live on air. Not that that makes any difference I suppose. As the commentator said, they were polite and asked directions. I wish the press were that polite in London.

It's an insult to third world countries to compare the US to them.

It's difficult to believe.

There is something very strange about some of the images I've seen on twitter.

TV boxes stacked up high being moved around on a dolly by looters looked and moved like empty boxes.

The incident where the chap was killed by the officer leaning on his neck has some anomalies:- The cruiser has the VRM: POLICE and the price of Diesel shown in the background is at 99c when the cheapest diesel at the pumps in the state is ~ $2.74.

False flag event?

Just had a watch of some vids on YT and getting crazy out there. The looting and burning of businesses, not good.

It’s one thing targeting the police station but why does this stuff always end up with people destroying all their local businesses? Jeez, the videos of the stores and people casually stacking TV’s on to trolleys etc.

Could be a blood bath if this carries on.

Felt bad for the owner of the independent jewellery store, his whole working life destroyed.

There’s even a vid of some citizens with guns defending some businesses, can’t blame them.

Maybe it’s just a coincidence that the reporter is black, maybe.

They get targeted for doing nothing. Killed even. I can understand black Americans being extraordinarily mad. Many are poor. When you add it all up, they have so little to lose, you can see why some loot. This is, by no means all the protesters, any more than it is all white police officers that murder. People need some perspective.

Whats going on in the USA is utterly lamentable, but completely unsurprising to anyone who knows more about the place and it's history than the happily integrated films and TV shows portray of it.
