CV19 - Cure worse than the disease? (Vol 8)
Discussion
I post something, then half an hour later log in to see reactions and or answers and the thread has moved on 30 pages.
I'm working in West London today, popped out at lunchtime to the local shop. So many people now wearing masks outside on my short journey.
Mind you, it is freezing and they do keep your face warm. I hope that's the reason.

It's becoming increasingly obvious that this is the case. Moreover the govt's handling is not getting better, its getting worse as evidenced by the New Mutant Virus and the even more deadly Afrikaans Mutant Virus. Talk about muppetry of the highest order. And then their reactioon to the problems created by their own announcement.
I cannot help feeling that when Cummings left, despite his many detractors, the adult left the building.
Had work to do in Dursley in Gloucester today, so up early abs down the M5 motorway, to be greeted once again by , and i am not exaggerating here, more than 50% of the single occupant cars where the driver is wearing a mask, despite being on his or her own!
Can someone please please explain their logic behind that choice?

Months and months and months of nudging by the government in a fairly high anxiety situation resulting in people instinctively doing something without a second thought Can someone please please explain their logic behind that choice?
And one more thing whilst I am ranting.
Has anyone else noticed that the number of people who are driving in the outside lane of the motorway, at about 60mph and no way they are going to budge, despite lanes 1 and 2, and often lane 3 when it’s 4 lanes, has gone up a thousand fold?
They just sit there, seemingly oblivious to the rest of the traffic, perhaps oblivious to the rest of the world around then too!
On my two hour trip down the M5 and then back up the M5 agin today i bet there were over 30 Cars sat in that lane, stubbornly refusing to move!
I just don’t understand!

Got used to wearing it so it's not annoying
Trying to minimise the contamination of the vehicle interior

Keeping 2m distance apart Has anyone else noticed that the number of people who are driving in the outside lane of the motorway, at about 60mph and no way they are going to budge, despite lanes 1 and 2, and often lane 3 when it’s 4 lanes, has gone up a thousand fold?

I’m sure it’s that, but surely they can’t think They are helping themselves or anyone else for that matter, by wearing a mask in a car only they are inhabitants of?If I don’t know better I would think that they perhaps feel wearing a mask on their own will stop them infecting themselves?
