Liam Fox and his "advisor"

Surprised there's no topic about this - can Liam Fox stay or has he shown a lack of judgement that is incompatible with holding office?

And what did his friend get out of it? Money, influence or was it just some walter Mitty fantasy?

Nail and head interface. This isn't just nicking a few envelopes or sending a few emails using your employers network, this is lying to his employers, showing a monumental lack of judgement and abusing his position to further the interests of his friend. He's using public funds to pay a friend who is not on the payroll - whether this payment is in the form of cash, or trips or "expenses" or contracts it doesn't matter. In any other line of business we would be fired and possibly facing criminal charges.

Fox is a minister of the crown and he is there to SERVE us. Nothing I've seen of this episode shows that he has learnt anything from previous scandals and he should go now.

I think it's just arrogance on Fox's part - the public that he is meant to serve are being treated as fools. Did he really think no one would find out?

Is Letwin disposing of Trade waste? And what about this government's recycling targets? All that paper going to waste!

Seriously, if I was one of his constituents and I had written to him could I be sure my identity was safe? Who would be liable for identity theft in this case?
