The ex has just texted me a picture of a double decker bus that has crashed into Sainsburys. If you know the area it looks like it was headed south on Garrett Lane and left the road, crossed the pavement and hit the main entrance.

Worryingly the path it has taken would have been through all the outside seating by Starbucks.

Nothing on the net so far so hoping that nobody was hurt but how in hell it managed it as there is no way a bus could go fast down there.

Pretty lucky as that area is normally packed with people shopping, drinking coffee and waiting to cross the road.

Puzzling as it would have been going pretty slowly what with the crossing and it's right turn for the end stop is just yards up the road.

Unfortunately she's ok. She mentioned that smokers get what they deserve and that the buses in the other direction must be safer if Nero was saved.

Has surprised me that this thread hasn't gone this way yet, so I'll start.

Bus drivers these days are fekin' lethal. Many the times I have seen some poor old dear fall over 'cos Lewis Hamilton at the wheel charges off from the bus stop far too quickly.

Remember when Blue Peter used to go to the London Bus Driver's School where they did skid pan work and obstacles as well as testing how far a bus could lean before it fell over.

Do they train the drivers like that now? I doubt it.

Proper bus drivers biggrin
