And there are people in caravans next to rivers getting very wet. BBC is hoping to show pictures of caravans being swept out to sea, but haven't yet managed to get some film out... there's an air of disappointment on the BBC about the lack of bodies being washed up on Welsh beaches but its early days yet...

And to top it all, the very Welsh lady from the Welsh Environment Agency has just said on the tele that the "Welsh Environment Agency is very sorry about the flooding".... Because it being wet in Wales is obviously their fault....

Hopefully, despite the BBC wanting a really exciting story, everyone will be safe.

Fast enough flowing and I wouldn't be keen to walk through it, slip and you could be gone.
or they could stay in their house where they would be in no danger.

Heard or read it when I posted. The reason was not clear at the time.

BBC knocking for the sake of it methinks. Peoples homes have been wrecked and having witnessed the result of flash floods, it is not nice. The reports I saw this morning certainly did not fit in with the gist of this thread.
The BBC coverage this morning painted a picture much worse than what has since emerged. They were talking to one woman who, when asked 'are you stuck in your home' they were clearly miffed when she told them that she was not stuck, not in danger, and didnt need rescuing. It was as if it was her fault!! they soon brushed her off and moved on. It was very much a case of 'well if you dont need rescueing, why are we even talking to you...? Get off the line, there may be someone else that is in danger that we should be talking to...'
