14yo boy who raped 4yo girl let off by judge.

I can't believe this hasn't been posted yet:
"Judge Gareth Hawkesworth freed the boy at Cambridge Crown Court, blaming the “world and society” for corrupting him. "
Sun story.

It is the sun. I'd find out a little more before going mental from just their headlines, and story.
The story is running in more than just the Sun, I just thought a Sun link was more acceptable than the DM on PH!I have young kids and stories like this scare the crap out of me.

Although it's less easy to monitor and protect our litl'uns when porn is accessible on their mobiles and that kids are increasingly more tech savvy than the parents, due only to the sheer speed at which new stuff is released..
No its not. Its all blocked unless an adult with ID goes into the shop and requests it is unblocked.I cannot, get porn on my phone. And when I went into the shop to get it unlocked the system was down I never tried again as I was sick of feeling like a perv.

So the message to 14 years old then, watch porn and your free to rape little girls?, nice.
That is precisely the message, and a large majority of 14 year olds will now go out and rape a toddler. TheHeretic said:

I don't think they are weighing up the consequences at all. They either don't think they will be caught or they just don't think.
Absolutely. These people will do these things regardless of sentence. The leniency of punishment does need addressing, but to think this is a 'message' to would be teenage rapists is ridiculous.ETA: Ok, maybe not literally but he should have had some sort of corporal punishment - I reckon that would have more of an effect to make them think twice about doing it again.
