"The Welsh pop singer Bonnie Tyler has been confirmed as the UK representative for Eurovision 2013.

The 61-year-old, best known for her 1983 hit Total Eclipse of the Heart, said she was "honoured" to be asked."

Have we now just given up and resigned overselves to sending our pensioners over with a cuppa Horlicks for company?

Did you agree with the NME award for the Stones as Best Live Act?
No opinion as I haven't seen them live.

Do you plan to buy the new David Bowie album? Will you be going to the Fleetwood Mac, Mark Knopfler or Eric Clapton gigs? Expect to be in line for Led Zep tickets if they actually reform for a tour? Off to the Deep Purple gig in October? Or the Who at the O2? Or Springsteen in June?
Nope.

Don;t bother. All pensioners. Then again, there is always Justin Bieber.
I can't stand him either.

I'm just surprised that after the poor result with Englebert last year, and with an entire country of rich talent that is struggling to get a break, they've chosen to send Bonnie. Have we really got no one else to send?
