Painful viewing for Boris Johnson fans on AM show this morning, Eddie Mair is interviewing him about a BBC Documentary on later this week.

so why exactly is it news?
Because the so called future PM can't cope under pressure?

On a more serious note, this was a nasty, unprofessional interview, picking up old and irelevant bits of gossip from Boris's personal life. That said, Boris was a fool for not being prepared; none of these stories is exactly a secret.
The gossip, as you call it, was only bought up by Mair as Boris claimed not to have seen the documentary and that he didn't know what was in it.

I heard Robert Peston have a (supposedly?) jokey gag at Mair about this on PM, "will our little chat be one of those career ending ones?" etc. Ignored and side stepped by Mair. I wonder if knows he went too far? I'm probably being kind though...
Not everybody thinks Mair went to far.

As for BJ, I couldn't care less if he'd turned up to the interview in a clown suit and spent the whole time dribbling into a bib
He pretty much did.

All this controversy and the documentary hasn't been aired yet.

The Rise and Fall of Boris Johnson can be seen tonight at 9.00 on BBC2.
