Falling car sales .. job losses coming
Discussion
According to reports in the Daily Mail Jaguar Land Rover to cut production and staff in Solihull due to large fall in sales of diesel cars
Apparently 1000 jobs to go as Jaguar sales fall 27% and Land Rover 20% in the first quarter of 2018
Being blamed on changes to VED rates and the fact that 90% of JLR production is diesel
It’s not letting me paste the link for some reason

I’ve decided to keep mine .. it’s now three years old and EU6 and low Co2
It’s an X3 .. and I need that type of car and the diesel does 40 mpg which living up in the Pennines is important
I had a look at changing it for the new X3 but the px figures weren’t great so I’ll stick rather than twist for now

Strange the Daily Mail seemed to have missed the bit about Brexit
That's because it's feck all to do with Brexit. I’d agree naff all to do with Brexit .. other than politicians have ducked this up .. this is the EU
Maybe if we get Brexit .. we can have as many polluting diesel cars as we like
After all hasn’t trump removed all the emissions/mpg targets from US cars ?
Interesting ... Vauxhall to terminate entire dealer network due to falling sales
