Apparently drill hall instruction, weekend exercises and other training are to cease for 6 months to save £20m.
While all TA troops going to Afghanistan get pre-deployment training with the regulars, how in the hell is this discontinuity in training going to benefit anyone, especially for the sake of £20m. I like the timing of the announcement too - at the weekend, so hopefully it'll blow over by Monday.
Next year, use your vote wisely.
