Done.

As an aside, can people please copy + paste the link to the complaint website not clickthrough, just incase they are monitoring traffic and where it's referred from. I wouldn't want a whole load of complaints to be rejected becasue they all come from here.*

* I think I'm right in thinking a referral link can be tracked back to this thread if they wanted to, be willing to stand corrected...
That is a very good point!

To make a hit on emissions we would need to address something like 10% of global emissions...

You are correct. The O/p should edit the link to use the google click through.

Is tobacco smoke causing global warming?
NO! Haven't you heard? It's all becauase of C02 - really you should get with the plot and do a bit of reading around the subject. There are a few people around that seem to understand what is happening, you might like to contact ludo and kerplunk (who are on this forum) or maybe try Al Gore.

Personally I never quite got over Tippa Gore wanting to put all our children in 'Tippa Ware' (tm Jello Biaffra - Dead Kennedys) and save them all from evil pop-music.

Still, we shouldn't grumble at people trying to change the world and trying to make it a better place for us all to live in by basing policy on pure opinion and utterly disregarding any scientific facts.

Better still, I look out of my window this morning and see that there are now four new windy mills under construction on a near by hill. Well, at least I'll have something to watch when the lights go out...

The reported total number of complaints is growing unrealistically slowly.

Why could that be?

What pisses me right off is since when did the 'Department of Energy' have anything to do with Climate Change?

What the hell is that all about? So suddenly Energy == Climate Change?

Utter utter bks.

OK. Lets ignore climate change and just go with CO2 reduction which is after all what the campaign is about. Seeing as quite a lot of CO2 is produced by the energy industry then doesn't it make sense the Department of Energy should be the one involved? If it was a general climate change tree hugger campaign then that would probably be the remit of the Dept of the Environment.
Why should we need to reduce CO2 emissions, after all, CO2 levels were way higher and lower in the past? Makes no sense to tax people on CO2 emissions when there is no credible evidence to suggest that it might cause a problem.

Where did you see these figures. Seriously, I'd like to see them just to set my mind at rest.
Sorry, which figures? The higher and lower CO2 levels in the past?

(If so there's a heap of graphs kicking around the place - some on threads here - showing atmospheric CO2 levels have been up and down and all over the place over the last few thousand years, TB probably has a hand on these quicker than I can find.)
