House due to be repossessed. What's the best option?

Not initially, but if there is a shortfall and the lender goes to court to try to obtain payment, they may get a charging order over a second property. If there is any equity in it worth charging, anyway.ETA: sorry, you were talking about in the context of bankruptcy when, of course, no creditor will be given priority over any others so a charging order would not be appropriate. What I state above applies where the homeowner is not (yet) insolvent.
