The amount of sceptics on here is laughable.
“Harvesting my passwords” sorry but HAHA.
Just create a new email address with gmail etc and a different password for IQ.
Problem solved.
And take the tin hat off!
Statistically speaking, most people don't use fundamentally different passwords. They perhaps at best change a digit or two. Easy to take a base password and check the common variations.“Harvesting my passwords” sorry but HAHA.

But of course, you know best...
You can have the last laugh when you buy yourself a pint of beer from your new found earrings. Please post a pic here so we can then praise your intelligence. Up and until that point please keep saving for your next venture....finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow

One of the main founders of IQ, Saar Wilf, sold a very successful fraud detection business to PayPal several years ago.
I suppose he’s top of the list of “dodgy blokes” though.
Give it a wobble. Either get involved or fk off!

Why don’t you use some of that intelligence you have to do a bit of research?

Yeah, yeah, no doubt you will be posting links about his poker exploits soon. One of the main founders of IQ, Saar Wilf, sold a very successful fraud detection business to PayPal several years ago.

As I say, when you buy a beer from your earnings, you can regale us all with how clever you were. Just don't count on it...

I’m just trying to tell you the risk of our details being used for anything other than IQ related matters is minute.
Put the crack pipe down.

How successful it will be doesn’t bother me in the slightest. It’s free to sign up. I’m fully aware the scheme is simply an experiment and unlikely to go anywhere.

Lol. Of course you care how successful it is. The only reason you signed up was because you were being greedy. You saw the figures promised on their website and you thought of all the things you don't currently have that you could buy. Otherwise, what would be your motivation to "sign up"?I’m just trying to tell you the risk of our details being used for anything other than IQ related matters is minute.

But as you say, I'm the one smoking the crack pipe.
The good thing about this thread is, time will tell.... just think how refreshing that beer will taste when you can post up that picture enjoying your new found wealth telling me how wrong I was. It won't happen of course, but you can dream

What a ridiculous assumption you’ve made there. But as you say, I'm the one smoking the crack pipe.

And I’ve just found this from another thread:

I was conned for a few hundred pounds. I had paid with paypal. Fraudster "sent" the item, but in fact he just sent an empty box containing a few old catalogues in order to get to the correct sending weight.
Someone managed to fleece you by selling you a few catalogues?Hahaha!
Forgive me but I won’t be taking any online scam related advice off you any longer!

Hmmm... poor trolling. That thread was about the risks of fraud on ebay. I was giving advice about using a credit card to protect your transaction which, in the example I mentioned, meant I was fully protected. Hahaha!

Surely, if this really is the future of money, then everyone will be able to get hold of it (they'll need to, to be able to use it), so beside the financial incentive, what other reason is there to not only sign up, but also encourage all your friends to do so too?

But I signed up out of curiosity, and then got the missus to sign up. That’s it. So I’m hardly going to strike it rich if things take off.
Signing up to a free deployment of a start up currency that is available to EVERYONE, to then only invite my dearest, is not in the slightest an act of greed. So to assume I signed up out of greed is preposterous.
I have done my research into the background of IQ and was interested enough to join them on the journey.
The founders are nothing short of very successful, and I’d like to think they don’t sit on PH every night slagging off stranger’s decisions.
Do excuse me for ignoring your advice.
Next level for me, I'll be retired in no time.

Since when did this become a spam thread for gullible people?
To those claiming their data/identity is safe, that's only true to a certain extent if you employ a burner email account. And that strategy only works if the majority do this (which they most certainly aren't). It operates in a similar way to herd immunity in vaccination programmes. Otherwise, your network becomes very much explorable and identifiable. This is already proven in crypto chain analysis for supposedly private crypto tokens.
To those pointing out that the owners of this scheme have your best interests at heart, 1/ good luck with that & 2/ I hope they've invested in bullet proof database security.
Initiative Q is an attempt by ex-PayPal guys to create a new payment system instead of credit cards that were designed in the 1950s. The system uses its own currency, the Q, and to get people to start using the system once it's ready they are allocating Qs for free to people that sign up now (the amount drops as more people join - so better to join early). Signing up is free and they only ask for your name and an email address. There's nothing to lose but if this payment system becomes a world leading payment method your Qs can be worth a lot. If you missed getting bitcoin seven years ago, you wouldn't want to miss this.
